hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help with me any ideas about a wieght gain shake without pb or oatmeal. Right now I have a 700 calorie shake that i make at home. im just looking for a 2nd one for the day or mayb but as an alternate when I get tired of the one im using. Ill take as many cals as I can get.
The reason I say no pb or oatmeal is because if i take them on the same day its to much or both. i alraedy have pb twice a day. SO any ideads wil help thanks alot.
It would depend on the other ingredients you usually add to your shakes.
I have added yoghurt, nuts, olive/flax oil, eggs, ground nut flours, coconut cream, heavy cream, fruit, condensed milk, amongst a whole bunch of low calorie stuff in various shakes. Berardi has some high calorie shake recipes. They do pop up around the place if you do a search.
I just think its a matter of knowing what you can mix together and what you cant.
LOL, there is nothing wrong with a good high calorie shake to help you gain mass. They dont just make you fat if you put decent ingredients into them. Some of this sites authors even recommend them. Check out barr’s stuff, or Berardi’s work. The other writers who are concerned with mass also seem to use the shakes from time to time.
If your trying to gain weight, oatmeal is one of the best carbohydrate sources there is. A good weight gain shake is this:
1-2 cup oatmeal (raw and unprocessed (no quaker oat)
6-12 raw eggs
Egg white beaters/or protein powder
creatine/glutamine
milk/or juice
honey/or agave
maybe some fruit
This might sound nasty with the raw eggs. believe me its not. I gag on pretty much anything, but these shakes can actually taste good.

Try adding oils - olive oil, coconut oil, etc. They can improve the texture of a water-based shake and add a lot of calories very easily. [/quote]
