I just have a quick question. Let me just say that I am trying to gain wieght dont’ want to get fat though. I have been doing good last month I gained 8lbs. The question is, I was recommened to try this weight gainer it has 750 calories 123 carbs 50g protein in one scoop. Right now I eat about 3200 cal so that would put me close to 4000 cals and 350carbs 300 protein, I weigh 170.
My question is, is that too many carbs and if not when would be the best time to drink that. I know that its good to break up cal 40/30/30 and this would make it more like 30/40/30.
Post an accurate food log of what you eat each day
Regardless of what kind of weight gainer was suggested, it’s better to make your own since you know what goes in it. A simple shake with protein powder, yogurt, natural peanut butter, flax seed, and fruit will give you the same number of calories.
dinner:
chicken, pork, steak, depending on avail
some sort of veggie
brown rice
1 glass 1% milk
fish oil
before bed:
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 TSP of natural PB
That exactly what I was wondering I could just make one with way less carbs than 123, and more protein. So prob best to drink PWO and any other time that would benefit. They were recommending that I drink that weight gainer before bed?
I have decided aginst the weight gainer I think that its a bunch of crap from GNC. I will just make my own from whey oatmeal, PB things like that. Anyone have any ideas on a good PWO shake and a nighttime shake that could add some mass.
I guess I could use the search see what I find.

Metabolic Drive Complete would be a better choice then a Whey only shake if you are bulking. You want both the slow and fast digesting proteins an added calories from good carbs. Blend in some cottage cheese for additional cals and protein and take with Flameout at bedtime. This will help keep the aminos flowing in your bloodstream while you sleep.

The postworkout drink is Surge.
As well, adding healthy fats like macadamia oil to the shake is an easy way to up calorie content and it taste good too. You could also eat a lot of nuts and get other micronutrients and fiber.

Agreed. Try adding 2 tbsp natural PB and 1/2 cup oats to 3 scoops of Metabolic Drive Complete and you will have roughly 55g protein, 24 g fats, and 60 g carbs. All of it healthy.
Hell yea guys thanks for the info on all that I am going to get some Metabolic Drive or Metabolic Drive Complete here in a few once I run out of my cheap ass GNC whey.
The raw eggs I tried a while back and just don’t know about all that.
Get a good blender and toss in 1 cup fast cook oatmeal(seems to blend better) a couple scoops of peanut butter, a whole banana and toss in 2 scoops of protein and top off with some milk. do it twice a day and the weight will come.

Gotta mask the raw eggs behind something else, they actually have very little taste and only a slight texture.
I put them in a shake with peanut butter and ovaltine.
