Been running the original 5/3/1 for quite a while and over the years the same issue seems to flare up. Coming off a deload week 4 or a total deload leads to the stagnation. The 85% set of 5 always tends to be a miss after a few cycles even if i dial back the numbers to hittable %. But week 2 and 3 arent no where near the grind. Anyome else suffer this issue and if so what is some advice for me to play with?
Jim recommends a deload after 6 weeks of training rather than after 3 these days. You can also use a 3/5/1 approach vs 5/3/1 for structuring your weeks.
