thank you every one for your replys even the not so nice ones … i know its not “good” for you i just wanted to know if it had a major effect with working out … i do somke and i do work out but that are alway at seprest times so there is never any time that the bong might spill or i losse it under hevy weight… anyways thank you every one and wiseguy for all your advice… i did get the info i was looking for
also I may have worded the last post badly … I get up and go right to the gym 4 mornings a week I drink my Grow! for breakfast and right before bed I eat 4-5 healthy meals a day… smoking is not my life just something I do like going out for a few drinks … witch by the way I don?t do … I don?t drink or smoke cigarettes and when I do smoke its after work after dinner witch is hours after my work out and job are finished for the day… I understand some of you think this is very bad in general but im just concerned with the effects it could have on my workouts
Bandgeek,
I’m not suggesting that all drugs should be unregulated. I’m not suggesting that addictive and destructive drugs should be legalized, for example.
As for guns, I didn’t believe that a private citizen needed to be able to own hand-grenades and shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles. So, potential limits here too.
My viewpoint if pretty darned similar between the two issues. Leave people alone to do what they want whenever it makes sense to do so.
As a side note, Zeb raises the issue of impaired driving. This is already a crime in many areas. Usually it applies to alcohol, but in many cases it applies to substance induced impairment, period. This can include medical prescriptions or even over the counter medications.
I guess the idea is that a car is a huge and heavy weaspon, you’d better be in condition to control it while you are using it.

You know, I used to smoke A LOT of pot. Unlike you, it WAS pretty much my life. Back then I was still training pretty hard and was in solid shape at about 190-195 pounds. I haven’t smoked … regularly
… in years, and am now just over 230 (yes, still in shape), for whatever we may or may not be able to conclude from this non-study of my individual case. See, I DID have something to contribute to this thread!

So, god (original post) if you choose to stop smoking pot do it because it is your choice and not because it is argued to be morally wrong.

Thank you for all the info… I don?t think I will stop just yet I do enjoy a puff after a hard stressful day… I use to have a drink but found it to be a lot worse for my motivation and sleep habits… I also don?t take offence to those of you who deem this as bad… I live every day around people who do not smoke and hear it from them… my post was not of moral right or wrong but more just to see if smoking a little would have any major side effects in my workout… I haven?t see any downside so far but I figured I ask for the info instead of just being ignorant you all gave my good advice and stuff to think about

THere are some people who have posted that are totally sure that smoking this stuff will lower your T levels and raise estrogen levels.
If that is true as they say, then it WILL affect your workouts, but I would really like to see some links that can prove this to me because if it is true, then I will smoke no more!
The ignorance of many on this thread is unbelievable. Many of you are condemning pot smokers as the scum of the earth with the way you’re posts read. I think you’ve guys have been way too influenced by those “this is you’re brain on drugs commercials”. The guy was simply asking about the effects of smoking pot and working out. He didn’t say he smoked 10 bowls a day. All of you are hypocrites who condemn him yet drink alcohol. “But randman, I only drink occasionally” you say. And I say, yeah it sounds like he only smokes occasionally so what’s the f*cking difference. I see all of your ignorant responses every time someone asks about pot. Do us all a favor, smoke a bowl and relax you uptight biatches.
The funniest one was the guy who said you’d grow bitch tits.
Classic, uninformed, moronic comment.

That is definately my favourite. I told my weed smoking male friends that, and every one of then felt up their pectorals.
I then told one my female dope smokers (whom has itty bitty titties), and her response was ‘mine certainly haven’t grown, if that were true I’d have massive juggs by now’.
Actually, this kind of nonsense is a T-Man’s (wet) dream come true! Walk up to a chick, tell her to smoke the joint, and ask if you can check for a difference! Good times!
Actually, that might get you arrested. Not so good times.
Wow. I avoided this post when I first read it last week because I thought it was a stupid question. However, all of the mis-informed BS that has popped up is amazing. I have done research and have not found any studies showing a significant drop in testosterone or intelligence (in fact, any blunted reality is temporary based on the level of “the high” from what I have read…gee, doesn’t that sound like alcohol). I have also not found any current unbiased studies showing a marked increase in estrogen. Marijuana is not chemically addictive. That means, chances are, if you know people who are losers who smoke, face it, they were losers in the first place. Smoking just gave them something to do so they could further their loser status. I don’t smoke, but if some of you think that there aren’t doctors, lawyers and other professionals who smoked all of the way through school, you are dillusional. If you have the drive to succeed, no substance (whether that be alcohol or weed) is going to take that drive away. From some of these posts, I can only assume that no one here ever drinks alcohol. I imagine that life must be pretty bland between trips to the gym and bible study at the expense of actually living any of the life that you were gifted with.
Let’s end the bullshit. Please post studies that confirm the stretched truths that many have posted and then we can end this for good in a decent well thought out manner. Here’s a hint, if the web site starts with “This is your brain on drugs”, find a new web site…preferrably one from JAMA or the like.
