Weak Off the Ground; Snatch Grip Deficits?

Would this be the best way to develop off the ground strength?

deficit pulls

yep, it’s the same principle as deficit deadlifts

Really? I always thought snatch grip deads were to build more back strength. I kno you’re using greater ROM, but arent you really being limited by your back and not legs?

Try both and find out for yourself which is more effective.

I love them! The snatch grip doesn’t make any difference to me versus a regular deficit as far as weight used. I’ve been using front squats and lunges as well which I feel has helped me out. And don’t forget about filling up your gut for that abdominal pressure.

if you have access to a safety squat bar, do some low box narrow stance squats with a pause.

Keep your lats tight as fuck and try harder.

This! has helped me tremendously with off-the-ground strength. Generally, I feel anything that builds the quads will build the off-the-ground strength (granted, if you are already positioning properly). I feel the SSB really hammers the quads and to a low-box with a slight pause on the box is an absolute ego-killer

Other good choices are Deficit pulls and paused deep leg presses imo.

Would like to add another thumbs up along with these two guys. More focusing on squats and improving leg strength(especially quads) helped me more off the floor than anything else.
