If T-Nation introduces smiley faces I will never purchase another Biotest Product again ever.
Ever.

Well, ok… But, I don’t know why…
I’ll never understand women ![]()

To preface, my join date and purchase level are misleading. I’ve been here in some form or another since the site started - I still remember when you released your first supplement…German micronized Creatine. Regarding purchase level, I have bought an absolute buttload of stuff through a Japanese reseller, probably enough to make me a level 4. (Hell, I even bought “Myostat”!)
I’m a huge fan of this site and am very appreciative that it provides bone-heads like myself an open forum to not only learn about lifting and nutrition, but to post ridiculous cat photos (see above) and in-depth stories about my bowel movements.
That said, there are some areas for improvement:
-As mentioned, you guys are awfully fixated on Indigo 3-G these days. I mean, I get it…you’ve clearly taken a big gamble with this and invested a ton of money on its production and marketing, but it’s proven very divisive and there is a very clear “I3G” and “Non-I3G” separation these days.
(By the way, I’m not going to be trying I3G. It’s not a financial thing, I’m just not big on the whole “fly you into Colorado for Boot Camp” idea. You could feed a guy Pop-Tarts and Fun-Dip and Thibs would be able to whip him into shape. I also don’t like the no-return policy)
-More interaction with TC and Tim. “The site that shall not be mentioned” routinely gets forum posts from its founder. The resurrection of Atomic Dog would be a great start.
-Ditch the livespill. Really.
That’s really about it. Overall I’m very happy with the (free) information and format of this site, just a few ideas here…

Do you want to see T-Nation go higher?
I was thinking about T-Nation and how much I truly enjoy this site. I enjoy the people here. I enjoy the articles. I enjoy the motivation here.
I was thinking how could we improve this site and/or the forums?
I think T-Nation could be as the #1 muscle building site on the web (currently as of 2/27/12, the site ranks 3,207). Men’s Health is ranked #626. With the quality of people here and the authorship, we surely could get this site up to #1.
So, I reach out to you all and we could pass this on to the powers that be here at T-Nation and see if they can implement those changes.
Are you game?
Let’s start:
How in the hell could this site remain for elitist muscle builders only or whatever the saying used to say if it’s the #1 site on the web for fitness info. 99.99% of the articles on here are completely irrelevant to people with no background in working out. I’d be willing to bet the #1 site on the web in this respect is some overly-homogenized, generic site that tells all the fucking fatties who visit it exactly what they want to hear. The day this site is the #1 site on the Internet in terms of fitness info and all that shit is the day that this site aims for banality.

What does T-Nation do well?
I think T-Nation does the following extremely well:
Free articles by the best trainers in the fitness industry…period.
Livespill is amazing as a communication tool on the site and I like how this allows the author and the reader a more personal touch.
The various forum topics are interesting and varied enough to suit others’ tastes.

I think the reporting someone for something system is flawed.
Does a person get restricted just because someone else says they are a problem?
Someone could fuck with another TN member that way.
I love the site mainly because of the articles and also the forums. But since Indigo-3 came out the direction of the site seems to have really shifted, which is odd because you don’t see this with any of the other supplements. I liked when there were (almost daily) spills/short articles/comments/updates from Shugart and Thibs. I liked Shugart’s Hammer, or Atomic Dog, and just short little interesting things like this.
Now it seems like these contributors are caught up in these massive, hard-to-follow livespills which are completely aimed at Indigo-3 users. It seems like they’re spending a lot of time working on it and helping people out which is commendable, but these guys had a broader audience when they were doing regular updates and articles that were aimed at all Tnation readers not just Indigo-3 users.
I don’t want to whine too much. It’s not like I’m going to go elsewhere because of the overall quality of articles. Sometimes people forward me fitness articles from Men’sHealth or similar sites and it’s simply awful. No comparison. T-Nation and EliteFTS are great, and then there’s lots of junk.
I’m sorry but who the fuck are you?
