We Can Rebuild It: How Would You Revamp T-Nation?

You are wise.

Although the article forum was always of higher quality then the rest of the forums IMO. Also, the article forums could be moderated a bit more than the rest of the forums (however, I wouldn’t be against more moderation of the rest of the forums.)

I like the site design, it feels like I’m playing Warcraft 3 again which is pretty eye-pleasingly cool.

A spill from CT here n there that is visible to all wouldn’t hurt though.

Yeah, the livespill on the side is pretty weird.

“…probably 10 to 20% the first week”
“…he’ll show it again at the meet.”
“…likely not on Tuesdays”
“…can’t say, maybe 3.6 to 4.2”

Make the site mobile friendly.

Mobile App for Android and iPhone

At least integration to one of the proxy services so you can upload pics from an iPhone.

All that is missing for that is a couple of more lines of javascript and telling the iPhone users what picture load app they need like Picup or Quickpic.

Lol I do see what you’re saying. There are easy ways of navigating the spill, but I agree that it should be a bit easier to sift through so you don’t have to KNOW how to navigate through it. If I come home form a long day and just want to find something gold from CT, I scroll down and look for his name in gold. Better yet (and easy) do a “Control F” and type in his name, or anything else that you want to find in there. Pretty easy to do, but I agree, it could be better arranged.

If I do that I might find a good answer. But I have to look through bullshit, bullshit, BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIN CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDDYYYYYYYYYYYYY, bullshit to find it. When he did the “Thibs training questions” threads I could just scroll through until I saw his name and read a great response to a VISIBLE question.

In the forums, avatars instantly let me see posts made by prominent or big posters. I can quickly pick out the posts that I can learn a lot from. That’s very hard in the spills.

GOD I HATE SPILLS! Kill it with fire.

I can’t think of a better way to take useful conversation/information and make it completely unavailable to anyone not directly following the spill or trying to reference it later.
Precisely. It is THE most worthless part of the whole site. I have no clue why it’s here.
Amen.

The difference is that even if the forums are cluttered, the information is searchable later. Great tips on triceps or diet are lost in the spills. In the forums, even if a thread is completely derailed, the information can be found later.

Someone can not sign on for a month and if they are looking for a certain piece of information that was given that month, they can likely find it in a search that turns up forum results. In terms of the spills, that information is practically lost in the noise and to my knowledge doesn’t turn up in searches.

A spill is almost impossible to do that if you miss a day and it’s impractical/painful at best if you miss even half a day.

Wouldn’t mind harder moderation to keep discussions civil and on topic.

Removing the mandatory Biotest plug in every.damn.article.

Aside from that, love the site. Been on it since last July and I learn stuff on here all the time.
No, keep the black background, I think its easier to read.
I like it, as well.
Yep, its a keeper.

There are other fitness/BB sites with better integration with iOS and Android applications, makes it so much easier to reply and read threads.

Also who’s responsible for marketing Biotest outside of the Americas? Is it a performance based job?

No, no, NO! White gets hard on the eyes after a while. Too much glare.

Oh, and I’d like to have the ability to post multiple pics in a single post… with the ability to have text in between 'em!

I used to love the spills from CT. Especially the “My Training This Week”. I would love it if he had a log somewhere that didn’t get bombarded with hundreds of comments. It’s not because I want to know what he’s doing or if there are any secrets to learn. I’m just nerdy and would like to follow his day to day sessions lol.

I completely agree. I think the spill and forums are both useful in their own ways. The spills now seem to be more of an online chat room than anything. I do enjoy posting in there but I honestly only try to when I think I have something useful to say or to report a successful training session. Now it’s gotten to the point where people post youtube videos for a good lol that are completely irrelevant and inconvenient to anything in there.

You can’t expect the mods to keep every conversation and discussion civil on the site. It’s not their job to babysit. There is so much action it is just not possible. And I for one enjoy the occasional meme that pokes fun at a newb poster or something similar. How would the mods decide if something is worth deleting or not? There is a difference between completely trolling and derailing a thread, and dropping a harmless meme for the lulz.

One thing is for sure . . . . we can all do without RV.
