If I see them, I will. Get over it, maimed kids! You’d rather they hop around and sulk for the rest of their lives?
I’d rather you stop alluding to wars of aggression (and their disastrous humanitarian consequences) as inevitable catastrophes.
It’s not that Bush started a war. Wars start all the time. This one was particularly condemnable because 1) it was a war of aggression and 2) Iraq is on the other side of the globe. Telling people to “get over it”, is an invitation to repeating the same mistakes (i.e: buying into FUD).
People should be learning from their mistakes. Not disregarding facts because they may be uncomfortable.
What I said was the mistakes will always be repeated; in fact, they are not mistakes at all. The mistake is thinking you have some right to not be subjected to other people’s ‘mistakes’. You can’t condescend to the human race, you are the human race.
Get over yourself. Fuck the maimed kids. It’s all inevitable and your opinion doesn’t matter. Neither does mine, and I would usually keep it to myself.
You really should…your not doing yourself any favors.
Why? Because you disagree?
[/quote]
Because you fail to make a valid argument with any supporting facts.
Having an opinion of It is the way it is and you can’t change anything so why bother bitching about it screams that you not only lack the necessary knowledge to form an educated opinion but that the political landscape to you is a place to bury your head in the sand and that you’re too lazy to read up on the facts and become informed.

Steely Dan is right…or at least he should be. Great pic. I will no longer contribute to the hijacking of this thread - if in fact I was.

Becoming ‘informed’ is unneccesary. The argument is larger than that, and greatly philosophical. Honestly, I find it difficult to lucidly explain my feelings on the matter, as the ideology of most people, yourself included, I assume, is so ridiculous to me that I cannot begin to fathom how it works in your mind.
Allow me to try to pontificate, and please realize my lack of interest in such matters has nothing to do with indolence or reluctance to read up.
If you would kindly humor me, why does one become involved in politics? Not by way of becoming a politician, but as we are here, generally interested and invested in the machinations and happenings of various people, countries, and situations?
What does one hope to gain through discussion? People seem to be set in their opinions, so they have no desire to be swayed or advance their knowledge and possibly change their ideas. These people, also, will not and have not affected the politics they are so very interested in, and likely know this futility.
So why become so absorbed? How is this so important if it is something you cannot even touch? Knowledge for knowledge’s sake is fine by me, but these politcally-minded people speak mostly in the realm of the practical, in that certain things would be better if this or this was done differently.
However, as their expertise will never be applied, where does the inclination to particiapte come from? Are they grasping at some illusion of importance? Trying to matter outside their insignificant existences?
I would really like to know how someone ‘involved’ feels about this, and excuse me if I seem hopelessly ignorant. I’m not adverse to learning about this, and knowing others’s views would help me to formulate my argument so as to be more ‘reader-friendly’.
Yes, I have hijacked the volley-babes thread. Apologies. Feel fdree to PM, if you wish.

Worst. President. EVER.
That was Pierce.

That’s easy for you to say (as most of you who voted for that idiot TWICE and subsequently in denial try to put a pleasant spin on a bad situation).
It was the WRONG war… which he planned well before 9/11. Going into Afghanistan was the right war, but the idiot diverted valuable troops and resources away from that goal when going into Iraq. Now over 4,000 of our finest dead, countless more maimed… and STILL bin Laden is at large.
Mission accomplished my ass.
Keep on posting cute pix of Bush with female athletes, keep chuckling at his “quaint” butchering of the English language, keep being cheerleaders for your beloved Bush, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s an utter failure, just like every other venture he had his hands in even before he became president.

I would PM you but I wanted to let you know publicly that this is a good post. Good points. Initially when I started reading it, I thought I smelled a little over the top articulation, what with pontificate and indolence. But in the end I believe I misunderstood your apathy which is pretty par for the course on the internet.
I won’t go into it here, but I am very much open to the opinions of others yet hold a similar opinion in that the majority like to hear themselves talk and continually spew their staunch beliefs with little or no desire to enlighten themselves - only others.
Much like your distaste for mixing chocolate and peanut butter, my wife is on the rag for what seems like forever now and I’ve become so focused on the negative that I may have gone over the edge a bit. Back to hot volleyball ass now - peace.

Well if you’re going to talk about beautiful beach volleyball players, then somebody should be talking about Michelle More and Suzanne Stonebarger. There’s a reason they’re called “Team Gorgeous.”

Holy Moley.

What’s the story on all these chicks?
Lesbians together? Just really happy? This last pair have nice pairs.
The one on the left (blond) in the last pic has a hella nice bubble butt. And the one on the right, nice flat stomach.

Edit: Let’s get back to the lesbos.

Actually the lower classes are the only segment of the population UNDER-represented in the military. The wealthy are equally represented, and the middle class are over-represented. Think before you speak.
