Waterbury Programs

I know I’ve seen this post somewhere but I can not find with the search. What seems to be the most effective progresson using Chad’s programs? I am on the last two weeks of CT’s Mutation Series and would like to give Chad’s programs a try now.

Thanks

I was just looking for this myself and found this post under the Waterbury Method article. Actually it’s only part of the post - I wasn’t smart enough to copy the whole thing or give credit to the original poster.

ABBH 1 (Alpha Male & M)
ABBH 2 (Alpha Male & M)
Triple Total Training (MAG-10 alternating with Alpha Male and M at 2 week intervals)
Total Body Training (MAG-10 alternating with Alpha Male and M at 2 week intervals)
Quattro Dynamo (Anabolics)
Singles Club (Recovery drugs)

Chad also had a reply about adding the WM after the TTT program.

I think I’m about to start with ABBH 1 soon. Maybe we can start a thread about progressing through the various cycles.

I finally found a post that states the order. It is as you stated but i am curioius where the SOB training program would fit into this scheme?

ABBH
ABBH2
TTT
The Waterbury Method
TBT
QD
Singles Club

The latest order the I have seen is:

ABBH I
ABBH II
SFM
SOB
TTT
HH
WM
TBT
QD
SC
BBB

I’m not sure where Next Big 3 or Outlaw Strength and Conditioning would fall in this. If you’re looking for a program while on a reduced calorie diet Chad recommends NB3.

Sterno

I know that Chad has given out such progressions in the past, but i have also seen him say that the order is not necessarily as important as just giving them all a try.

I think there are some programs that place a greater emphasis on building strength and there are others that are more focused on hypertrophy. Pick one that you think looks good and give it a try. Most of them are only 3-6 weeks.

I personally have done
ABBH 1
ABBH 2
SFM
and TTT.

Plan is to move to WM next week now that TTT is finished. I have enjoyed all of them so far, and am looking forward to trying the others. The biggest problem is Chad comes out with something new before i can make a dent in the existing list.

pharm d pete,
What results have you experienced on those programs. I think you make a good point about using the program that corresponds with goals. At this time i am attempting to cut body fat by about 2%.

I have had what i consider to be great results on all of the programs i have tried thus far. I started ABBH 1 around Sept. 04 and went from there.
My diet has been great at times, but it has been inconsistent at other times.

I think i have probably gained close to 15 pounds, though not all of it muscle, and my strength levels have improved a great deal since september.

I think Chad has mentioned NB3 and TTT are good for fat loss. I was doing T-dawg 2.0 for the first few weeks of TTT and was able to maintain strength levels throughout. Fat loss was mild, but i also wasn’t incorporating any cardio into the mix, just diet modification.

For fat loss, you ideally want a program that emphasizes strength with higher loads, more sets and fewer reps per set. This would hopefully allow you to maintain your muscle while losing some of the excess fat you may have.

yay. another CW inspired thread. i don’t think there is a bigger proponent of CW programs than good ol’ me, and i have only done a few of them. keep in mind this: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO EVERY CW PROGRAM. i doubt that i ever will. if you find a few that work to satisfy your goals, you can set up a cycle of these and repeat them. think about it, you could knock out 4 of these 3 week programs 4 times a year and still take 1 week off every quarter. what a way to monitor progress. of course that’s just hypothetical talk for a perfect world.

i also am throwing in some of Thib’s and Dan John’s programs. and i am sure there will be others.

my point is this, don’t think that you have to do all of these programs. they all have their advantages (and thus disadvantages), so just find the ones that work for you.
