Watching Smallville?

It’s rare when I like what they do with Lois and Clark. Most of it is cringeworthy IMO.

The irony with Michael Rosenbaum is that he does not want to be typecast as Lex but he is not doing anything anyways.

I hope that Chloe gets a worthwhile send off episode, she and Clark are/were the reason I watch this show after the Lex/Clark dynamic was lost.

PX- you said Tess was killed off? Thought the latest episode isn’t until tonight?

I just watched 10-4 last night and she was still alive. Though, I was a bit shocked at the ending of the episode---- SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER==== as Clark told Lois he is the Blur[/quote]

My bad. I haven’t seen every episode of this season (I am on Ep2 now downloading them) but had read that she is toast this season. I thought it had happened already.

I want to see you try to get into that jacket.

Haterz.

Superman was probably the favorite of most guys who grew up before the late 90’s. Batman didn’t start to become popular again until the 90’s because before then, that 60’s comical version of him and Robin was all people thought about aside from Superfriends.

Chances are, if you grew up on GI Joe, Thundercats, He-man and Transformers, Superman (or Spiderman) was likely your “favorite Superhero” if you had one at all.

I HATE ALL OF YOU!!! I CAN’T SEE ANY OF THE EPISODES OUT HERE!!! Nah, I’m ordering seasons 8, 9, and I’ll get 10 next year when it releases on DVD. I absolutely LOVE the Smallville series. It was an epic take on the whole saga of Supes. I’m also glad that most people know about Kent/Supes now. The whole glasses thing was absurd. And yeah, DC is revamping Superman, as well. I think that red jacket was a nod to that, as they displayed a much younger, more “emo-looking” Superman. I’ll find the pic and attach it as well.

And I would be in heaven if I had Chloe and Lois in my room for a threesome. You all would never hear from me again.

Okay, I misspoke earlier. He’s still in the tights, however, he is more “edgier” now.

Here’s another of the new 20 y/o Superman.

I doubt they are taking it farther than Darkseid this season. I also think that if any threat would push him over the edge into that suit, this would be it.

They did show hints of a suit made like the one from the last movie but no one knows the final design.

Have you seen the new red leather jacket with the “S” on it that he wears right now before the end?

I read a interview that said the suit is actually the one from superman returns, hopefully hollywood takes that as a hint and casts Welling in the next movie. And yeah that red leather jacket is fucking epic.

Smallville had me at Dr. Fate.

OK, so he did fly (float) at the end of ep 4 but he had done that before in his sleep thinking about Lana.

I watched up until season 6 i think and then caught part of season 8… I always liked the show but I just got pissed that he never would fly! (the one season premiere where he flew up into lex’s jet and ripped the door off was bad ass! but then he couldnt remember how to fly and was back to being good superman)

I heard somewhere (dont know how accurate it was) that he wouldnt be called superman, wear the actual costume and fly because it was in the deal that smallville made to get the contract? Something along the lines of copyright stuff? (thats why he’s the red blue blur and what not)
I know the producers had a “no flight, no tights” moto for the show but I heard they were replaced? Maybe thats what it was?

I dont know if that is/was true and maybe they’ve worked that out and he’ll actually be called superman by the end of the show? And fly? Either way I hope Welling is cast in the new superman movie. I wish he would have been in the last one they made.

I heard about the “no cape, no tights, no fly rule”. not sure if that was contractual or just the producers/writer’s wishes as so far as the vision they had for the show.

Well not in the know but I remember them talking about no flight/suit rule back during the beginning. Basically they wanted to the show to end right before he became superman. I can understand that since they just wanted to tell the story of him before he became superman and I really don’t think they thought the show would last this long. Thankfully he will wear the suit before the end and hopefully it will be epic as hell.

That was the theory of the show originally. They’ve already shown clips of the suit (not on him though) and technically, he has flown before he just lost the ability once he wasn’t possessed anymore by Jor-el.

They haven’t called anyone “superman” or “supergirl” on the show yet but Lois is responsible for that anyway.

I think Welling would make a good Superman in the movies…way better than the freak they got last time. I am still not sure what Bryan Singer was thinking.

Especially with the casting of Lois. That little bitty thing was NOT at all appealing. I doubt they’ll cast Welling, though. I doubt he’d even go for it, to be honest. I imagine he’d want to separate from Superman after 10 years of Smallville.

Why not? I mean its not like he’s got a bunch of other movie opportunities these days… he did “the fog” and thats about it right? lol

He should do Superman… he would be way better than that other guy

If he does it, they would have to bring the rest of the cast of Smallville.

He also did Cheaper by the Dozen. Both of them.

No.

Always Batman, because Superman is a fucking boyscout.

Batman is the only one who has vowed to never kill a criminal, not because the other ones would, but because he really, really wants to and it would be oh so easy and satisfying.

Batman struggles not to become the monster he lets his prey fear, Sperman struggles not to yawn when someone targets him with a bazooka.
