A lot of people are going to get hurt, good guys, bad guys and people in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I’m writin this from India, and I’m thinking about what impact this will have on our lives.
A war against Iraq will ravage Pakistan and India because the oil prices will jump up.
The new regime will lack support from the people unless it is led by Iraqi rebels, with popular support.
If Iraqi refugees move to Iran, Iran might start pushing Afghan refugees to return home, or go to Pakistan.
If Saddam goes, and another dictator is appointed, then the move will fuel hatred for America throughout the region.
If some guy like Musharaff of Pakistan comes in at the head of Iraq, and increases the mil budget, then all neighbours will do the same, triggering a fuel hike.
If Saddam falls, and democracy comes in, then maybe we’ve got something desirable. But most Indians would doubt this.
