My friend is extremely wealthy, it’s the same guy that we flew his plane to the beach for lunch. He’s tough to be around because 1. It’s hard to hang with that and 2. He’s the type to never miss an opportunity to remind you how much money he has. He did just custom order a brand new master craft surf boat so that’s good

I had a fish and ski years ago and sold it oit of rage. Every trip out it was something. Broke prop, trailer blow out, blown fuse. I sold it and never looked back. I’d love a wake board though.

Renting is a good option with boats. I have some access to boats through friends / relatives, but sometimes it just isn’t enough for me.
There is a resort on a nice recreational lake about 2 hours from us that rents speedboats for like $225 for 4 hours and gas included. Just a small speed boat, with an inboard 4 banger. Probably not wake surfing with it, but a couple trips a year at $225 is a lot less than a wake surfing boat. I bet just the gas with your own wake surfing boat would be close to the rental price of the speed boat. No boat registration, insurance, maintenance, storage, towing. Just show up and go.

Yes that’s an option for sure but I enjoy wake boarding and surfing, even if I suck lol. It’s definitely not a responsible purchase, but I’m sure one day I’ll get one. Right now they are too high to even think about it.
Yea like the day after I worked out with the hot chick we ended up breaking up (nothing to do with workout partner). I’ve been staying oit of the house since then but after the possible attempted break in the other night I’m back at my house. She signed a lease a couple weeks ago and moves tomorrow. It sucks bad and I want to take it all back but I know I’d be back in the same place soon enough so time away it is. Gonna spend some time in therapy and work on what it actually is I want.
The workout partner let me know the day I broke it off with GF how she felt about me, which was a shock because she’s out of my league. She wants a legit relationship but I’m not ready for that

The good human part is true. It’s quite sad honestly, seems most guys are assholes and I am not. It’s also a double edge sword because it seems to really crush girls if things don’t work out. I dated a girl very briefly after my divorce who made a point to come ask me if I was sure there was no hope of me wanting her back before she said yes to her boyfriends marriage proposal, which broke my heart. She even tried to reach out a few weeks ago, now married. Apparently I need to develop an asshole side or something.
Full disclosure I have zero self confidence. I’ve yet to approach a girl lol and was scared of this one. Had she not been blunt and took the reins nothing would have happened probably
This is sad, and the marriage probably will not work. Most likely she married a guy she doesn’t love, but has stability, or other characteristics she wants. Just sounds like she doesn’t have chemistry with her husband, but settled.
It’s so sad man. And although it would have happened regardless, I still feel I have lots of the blame. I treated her how she wanted to be treated, and as twisted as it sounds it’s apparently screwed both of us up.

I’m completely invested and super interested to see where the workout partner thing goes. Although I’m very sad to hear about your breakup and the story of the girl basically wanting your blessing after being proposed to.

The engineer chick is: smoking hot, like Instagram CrossFit chick hot, wild in bed, works out and eats how I like to, a lot of the same hobby interests like hiking and outdoor stuff, wake surfed on her first try even! But she’s also a little clingy and really wants to find the guy and start popping out babies. I’ve spent my whole life in relationships and surrounded by drama. It sounds nice to just be Drama free and not committed for a while, but it also sounds nice to have those things I listed earlier. It’s a tough call. She has indeed been bitten with the Wanna_be bug and has offered quite a lavish list of things to stay lol
