WannaBe’s Last Year Of “DYEL?”

You squat?!?!

What’s your best big 3?

Gonna try and start back.

In 2019 when I started working out I did the big 3 lifts routinely. I got to 385/275/475 before I quit working out in late 2019. Didn’t do any of those in 2020, and this is the second time a bar has been on my back In 2021 lol. I’m pretty certain if I devoted some time to it I could pump them numbers up.

Me and squats have a bad relationship. Trying to take her slow and show her I do care for her deeply. Hope she doesn’t hurt me again

Nice! I’m always conflicted by how much I actually want to powerlift, squatting is amazing when everything clicks but sucks ass otherwise

Morning work out today, which is my least favorite time ever.

Shoulders tits and biceps

For seated DB OHP I got 85’s x 9 which is a PR
Then 80’s x 8.5 and 80’s x 5.5. I was wiped out after these and called 3 sets good enough :joy:

Everything else felt pretty good. Had a hard time pushing the bicep work, I think they might still be a little under recovered after the last arm workout.

Also slept and ate like absolute shit yesterday. GF’s sister is in town so we took her out to some breweries and stuff. Calories were definitely met, protein not so much.

Very mediocre back and tricep day. Slept like shit and had to wake up early to get the kids to school.

Triceps have been giving me issues lately in that my left shoulder starts to hurt really bad when ever I’m doing push downs. Idk what the deal is. Maybe I should try and do triceps first before back and see how that goes.

Been working out but haven’t been logging. Just been kinda down and unmotivated. As my first blast comes to a close I’m really kinda depressed and sad at the amount of gains I made and upset with myself . Looking back on everything I could have done better and made some different choices. I think this is also the last time (for now) I try to build muscle with my own routine.

Can’t change the past, only learn from it. Just chalk this (possible) damage to my heart/body as a learning experience and do my best not to repeat them.

Plan is to start cutting calories towards the end of the month and work towards being lean for the first time in my life. I’m honestly scared to see what that looks like.

I think changing goals will do you good. Who knows, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Oh my goal has never changed from the moment I lifted a weight for the first time in my life till right now :joy: but how I go about reaching that goal is going to change.

Edit: I think I misread that, you are saying maybe changing my current goal might do me some good?

I thought you were trying to build muscle. I was thinking that maybe switching the focus to fat loss might be a helpful diversion

Ah i see. So I miss read your post twice :joy: I’m sorry!! It will be a nice change, but the end results (clearly being able to see just how much muscle I have), is extremely scary. I feel like I should be preparing for a huge letdown so soften the blow when I get there lol

good strategy. My professors would agree with your approach

Killer back and tricep day today. Turns out I just need to act like a drama queen and all would right it self.

Today, logging my first shot back on normal TRT I also noticed a reason why I didn’t get the gains I had hoped for. So I bought some ugl test from a “trusted” source . It was bunk gear. Spent 4 weeks sick as shit on the bad gear. Then 8 weeks on pharma stuff. So just got into the gains train and quit lol. I really want to run this out 4-6 more weeks but I’m worried about having enough time to lose weight for summer (full bro mode, I know).

@BOTSLAYER , @iron_yuppie , @mnben87 , what would you do? Call the 8 weeks good enough and get it right next time, and have plenty of time to drop 30 pounds by June, or run it out 4-6 more weeks, enjoy the gain train, and then extra hardcore cut? Halp

You could do like 3-4 weeks if the the first 4 didn’t count. I’ve seen your physique, and I wouldn’t guess you need to lose as much as you think unless you want to be shredded. I prefer the less lean more full look, so I would just shoot for having abs. A big guy with abs even if a bit faint wins every time over the doesn’t look like he lifts until he takes his shirt off. Just my opinion. Even in the summer in not shirtless all that often. Obviously, big and shredded wins, but that is really tough to do.

I’m afraid I’ll end up here anyways lol. I think the only thing that people notice now clothed is traps and upper back. I’m sure those will shrink too though. But I get your point. I really just want to get lean. Never been lean and never seen more than a faint outline of my fat-abs lol. Praying the arms leaner make them look bigger :joy:.

I’m sure just calling it and moving on is the right choice. Probably not much to gain in a few weeks right? As soon as I’ve been off for a couple months I plan to start back. Thinking test and primo. Thought about growth, but the whole insulin resistance crap scares me as I don’t tolerate the metformin stuff well. Still reading, but really leaning towards test/primo.

What’s really funny. Is I think I’m about to finally start taking creatine :joy: these drugs are slippery slopes!!

Fuck man, I wasn’t here much these last few weeks because of tiredness and life, but I wasn’t aware you were on a blast. Sucks for the bad gear! One of the reason I don’t want to hop on lol

What was your first cycle then? Test only? Test and primo like you are planing to?

Continue for 4 weeks or stop, that is a tough question… Depends on how much you want to enjoy your summer, how fast you can lose fat, your mental toughness etc… Good thing is that on TRT you’re less prone to muscle loss in a deficit (less cortisol sensitive) so you can go hard on the weight loss.

eems like a reasonable second cycle! But I would probably wait a bit more than 2 months, and start your next cycle in like september/october and embrace the mass

Trying to educate myself as much as I can myself oin this subject, it’s a long process ahah

WHY aren’t you on creatine? It’s literally the cheapest, most efficient and proven supplement you could take! To me it’s a no brainer :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s my first one. I’m no where near the point of needing to use drugs, but being on TRT already kinda makes it a little more acceptable :joy:
As to the creatine, I know I know. But I’m finally gonna get some so it’s ok

Works best if you take it straight up the butt.
