I thought that she gave him an odd look too considering Carol just said she is 17 a couple episodes earlier.

If they manage to have the Blonde Daughter go after Rick when he is in full crazy/hallucinating/waving the gun around mode it will be official. The writers hate women.

I just find it funny that in the wake of the zombie rapture nobody tries to hook up with the underage blondie yet multiple people made their way into Andrea’s nether regions. That is more unrealistic than [insert anything involving zombies and/or headshot accuracy jokes].

Show is losing some of its appeal to be honest. First season was awesome because it was so new - there hasn’t really been a full feature zombie TV series before. Now its kind of like you’ve tasted the coolest and tastiest new ice cream and each fresh serving is less satisfying than the last; basically decreasing marginal utility.
Lost lasted something like 7 seasons, Walking Dead won’t last that long because there’s no new mystery or phenomena to be explained, just new good guys and villains.
Agreed. This show has some kind of hype train around it or something, I just don’t think it’s that entertaining. It’s overrated and Game of Thrones is clearly da best evah!
Some say the same for game of thrones… though I for one have never seen it, just have a hard time getting into the medieval stuff sometimes…
Probably idiots say that who need some zombie to pop out every 5 seconds instead of watching extremely interesting dialogue and story development.

The thing about Game of Thrones is the good stuff hasn’t even happened yet … it’s just building up to the good stuff … shit, the best stuff in the books hasn’t happened yet but you can tell it’s building up to a level of awesome
OH YES how right you are. If Book Three is any indication, this season should be absolutely ridiculous in so many ways.
Lots of Game of Thrones talk in here, huh. That’s kinda cool. Sorta. I guess.

As someone else said, and to paraphrase Bruce Lee, “Zombies don’t shoot back.”

Who’s going to try, especially with her big sister and dad hanging around all the time? Most of the people have been around her long enough that she probably seems like everyone’s kid sister, except maybe for Carl.
Kudos to the writers for being consistent and once again giving us the majority of a character’s back story moments before he dies. T-Dog drove the church van and Axel was a pretty good guy.

I don’t know, he seems reckless and distracted with the Maggie situation. Just goes to show us that when the end of the world hits, it’s hook-ups and friends w/ benefits only. No relationships, because they’re just trouble. Ha.
Also… Merle for the (eventual) win.
I absolutely expect to see him coming through when it counts before the season’s over, probably saving Carol somehow and/or sacrificing himself.
I’m also wondering how they’ll work Tyreese back into the story. I can’t imagine he’s gone for good. Maybe they were camping close enough to the prison (it’s only been a day or so, right?) and they double-back to investigate the gunfire?

I have a feeling the Tyreese aka New Black Guy and Merle aka Racist Bionic White Guy will have conflict.

Gotta agree, looks like they’re setting up Merle to do something heroic by the end of the season. Killing the governor probably. Even michone would go for that.

Her name is Beth. I don’t think she will last much longer. Beth is a caretaker, and if the group becomes too stable, the writers will kill her off. There are things people need to do to survive in that world and there are characters which represent those aspects, but those representing a part of the fallen civilization or humanity are commonly ripped from the group. When civility, morality (Dale), and innocence (Sophia) and heart (Beth) dies, it shows just how much is being lost in the plague.
Sophia was lost and then corrupted, but since Beth has already demonstrated she wants to live I’m guessing her death will be senseless or as a sacrifice to save Judith, the baby. Either way she will die screaming.

I should have remembered her name.
I think Dale was killed off on the actor’s request. He was loyal to the old/fired producer.
If you follow the comics then she may be the substitute for the late Lori Grimes.

Robert A
EDTA: I would like to think you are right, but I sometimes think the producer’s/writers are either not taking the show that serious, or are just wired differently from many of the fans(see the Why does no one like Lori or Why are they making fun of T-Dawg angst from the staff)

Really hoping he comes back soon. Great character, solid actor. It is theirs to screw up.
Doesn’t Maggies sister die in the comics? Then Maggie becomes extremely depressed and a huge strain on maggie and Glenns reltionship occurs, Then after Glenn gets killed by a group of people they get in a skirmish with?

SPOILERish
Decent summery.
But in the comics, Carl shot a living Shane early on.

I don’t recall Maggie having a sister like Beth … she had twin sisters (they might have been her half sisters, I can’t remember right now) and a brother or two and yes they all died. Maggie did become depressed.
However, Glenn dies much later in the comics and not really in a skirmish either.
Possibly the best/funniest thing you’ve posted.
The cool thing about Daryl is that in the first season you’re like “Ah shit, Merle number 2, please let hime die soon” and then you actually see his character change. He’s the only person in the entire show who’s character changes from bad to good. Rick, Shane, and Andrea have all gone the other way.
As far as Beth goes, I just hope they keep her, because, you know, she’s really hot.
Like I said before, some type of scientific advancement, something that the group can actually strive for other than mere survival would really change the dynamic of the show. Something like a hope for a cure or a really effective poison/weapon.
And also, again, why has nobody taken advantage of the fact that cutting off their arms and mouth make them docile? USE THEM AS A MEAT SHIELD!
I don’t know if Daryl went from bad to good. I think he went from a guy who didn’t really have any identity other than being Merels brother to finally finding himself.
I’m already sick of Merel and hope he gets zombified soon. Every time he opens his mouth I’m reminded of the ‘high talker’ from Seinfeld. He is annoying as all fuck. I’m surprised Daryl hasn’t shot him in the eye.
