I still stand by the fact that Wade Hooper doesn’t do a whole lot extra than squats, deadlifts and presses. I don’t understand why Sheiko is fancy?

Hooper’s squat is an “American record” because the IPF expelled the USPF in 1997 and affiliated with the USAPL (formerly the ADFPA). This is also why Siders has the “American record” despite Shane Hamman holding the IPF world record.[/quote]

American record and IPF record are two different entities.

A National record can only be set on a National platform.

An American record can be set on any platform (local or national) if you have three National refs in the chair.

It has nothing to do with the ‘expulsion’ of the USPF. It’s just another category of record.

American Record and National Record are two different things, but the USAPL does not recognize USPF records that are still IPF records. Either American, or National.

I know the differences between “American Record,” “National Meet Record,” and “IPF World Record.” I was explaining why an American (Mike Bridges) could hold the IPF World Record (which is higher than Hooper’s new 181 record) and not have the USAPL American Record. It has everything to do with the expulsion of the USPF and the switch to a new IPF affiliate.

chase was right the first time. Mike Bridges set his IPF record while a member of USPF. nuff said,

here is vid of wade’s lifts from last weekend by the way

Of course not. USPF still stands. Why would they do that?

I need to work on my reading skills. I only read your reply and not the post before it referencing Bridges.

Oh the humanity.

I had a feeling something was being lost in translation, but I was starting to get confused.

Sider’s lifts:

Hooper’s lifts:

Fuck, I wish I had Hooper’s squat form. His strength would be nice too.

Yeah. I’m a dumbass sometimes.

Wade’s a great guy, worked out in the the gym he uses a few times when I lifted with the LSU Powerlifting team, glad he’s kickin’ ass.
