The salesperson in me is forced to scream “PRINEO”. Mention it next time you have a surgery!
I’m good. I do not need surgery.
But the Dr. said I shouldn’t squat. If it’s not that severe (and it isn’t) squatting should be fine. I will contact another doctor about this, preferably someone who is a sports doctor as well.
For my tendonitis right now I’m not doing upper body stuff, because whenever I work out it starts hurting, I’m using anti-inflammatory pills and creams to heal it. Today It didn’t hurt at all. I plan to start working out by Monday and see what turns out.
Didn’t it hurt? It should. My gait becomes very weird after working out in my current situation. Like I was circumsized or something. And obviously the pain isn’t like the one you get from the soreness or the nausea you get from an intense leg workout. It’s not a pleasant one. It’s more like my leg is locked and is about to fall apart.
Yes.
Getting bigger and stronger is a painful process. That you’ve been avoiding pain is another reason you are not seeing results.
But that’s not the type of pain you would wish on your worst enemy. The burn in the muscle you feel is great. I dont avoid that. I think I can differentiate between the pain of working your mucles vs. destroying ligaments or tendons… That kind of pain sucks. @T3hPwnisher
Based off your total lack of results I don’t think you can.
I feel like this got glossed over and I can’t just let it slide - I’m trying to imagine what kind of gait would make me think: “that guy just had an adult circumcision!”
One of my favorite jokes.
2 guys are at the doctor’s office, one says to the other “Why are you here?”
“I’m getting circumcised”
“Oh dude, I had that when I was born. It hurt so much I couldn’t walk for a year!”
Good luck finding a doctor who will advise you to squat and deadlift. I’ve never met one.
None of that is going to treat your tendonitis though, just mask it until it inevitably flares up again. By treatment I was meaning more along the lines of dry needling, ART, pre-hab exercises, etc.
What does ART stand for?
My sports practitioner suggests squats in general, however he said for now I should only do leg presses.
Don’t worry, they exist. Just gotta keep looking
What’s up man? It’s been a few weeks, how are you doing?
