Vitex As AI

Hey All,
I started taking vitex angus castus
a couple of days ago, and I feel better.
I’m on testosterone replacement, but have estrogen and progesterone issues, and the vitex so far is making me feel better.

I am taking a non extract, made of the fruit of the plant. I just ordered a bottle of the extract in capsule form.

The question: How much to take a day, and when? I’ve searched for the instructions for “M”, but didn’t find anything.

Also, anyone know how much of the non extract 400mg caps I’d have to take to equal a 400 mg extract capsule?

Thanks,
comguy1

i dont know why but people talk down to Vitex…?

If your on test replacement and are having E issues, the doctor should be closely monitoring such issue and prescribe you a drug(NOT A HERB) to help combat such issues.

I personally want to strangle some of these HRT docs.

It depends.
Not everyone wants to be on drugs.

I hear ya Ct, but thats just the nature of the beast. No herb should ever be a replacement for a drug(at least not yet)

If I was having any E issues, you can better believe I would be working to get my script. And Im pretty much as anti-perscription drug as they get. I refuse to take any painkillers, antibiotics, meds unless absolutely necessary.

Vitex just isnt a strong enough AI when your talking about injectable test.

Very true. But chances are someone who’s already on testosterone replacement as opposed to herbal remedies like Alpha Male is going to need a drug to deal with estrogen-related problems and not an herb. That said, you could give REZ-V a try in addition to vitex.

No offense but it should be expected. It’s not a regulated field where there are board certifications. Anyone who is a licensed physician can claim they are an HRT specialist much in the same way that they can claim they are a specialist in alien abductee physiology.

I bought a small bottle of vitex the other day . I was going to stack it with my TRIBEX Gold and longjack pills . When I got it home I noticed the discription said " Used by women for thousands of years " I looked it up and saw some things I didn’t like . Used by monks to control libido ? I decided to throw it away .

On the good side I did see a study saying at a high enough dose it can reduce prolactin or somthing ! I figure why take the chance . Chaste berry - Chastity . I’d try to go another way .

Well, many people want a drug to deal with estrogen related problems because they want something to cure/treat the symptoms of what they’re doing.

But,little do they know, when they stop doing certain things, they find that they may not need a drug at all.

Dude, this is what the primary active ingredient in Biotest’s M was. Lowering estrogen too much will result in lowered libido, as both test AND estrogen and needed to maintain a healthy balance, and normal sex drive.

But there are so many estrogen strikes against us, with all the xenostrogens in the environment today. Sun screen, pesticides, food preservatives, food dyes, etc. When taken stacked with another herb that helps boost your bodies’ natural test production, vitex can be useful.
