I like dogs and cats and don’t take too kindly to animal abuse but in the end, I just wanna watch some fucking football. If he happens to be playing while I’m watching good for him. There are much more worse people in the world then M. Vick.

you probably don’t own a dog.
by your argument, killing an ant and killing a dog are the same thing. surely, even as someone that doesn’t have a dog such as yourself, you can see the difference. Now imagine, that animal being a part of your life for 10-15 yrs.
Where did I equate a dog to an ant? What I’m asking for is some sort of hierarchy which assigns value to organisms. Something along the lines of the ability to suffer pain, domestication, intelligence, etc etc.

yes, there is a hierarchy, and if you can’t grasp that, then I’m not sure what to say.
At least the Cowboys didn’t sign him. They have the biggest history of signing fucktards. Plus, I want Romo to get lit up. Every down. Every game.
Well,Vick is no Rae Carruth…I’m just sayin’

You are missing the 3 biggest stories here
- Donovan F McNabb is less than thrilled about this, so let’s see how long he sticks around
- Michael Vick was NOT a top 3 quarterback before he went to Club Fed. Very athletic? Yes. A good quarterback and threat to run? Yes, big time. Read defenses well? Fail. Made timely and correct decisions with the football? Not so much. So we will see how the dog killer fares
- Murdering dogs is’nt the only time he has run afoul of the law. Time will tell if he can fly staight or not. Let’s hope for his sake he does’nt spend much time around his younger brother
Maybe he did, but I would if surprised if that really was the case, given in part the lack of faith Reid was displayed with his franchise quarterback. Yes, Vick could be quite effective in the wildcat, but it will be interesting to see how Much the Eagles(or any other team for that matter ) commit to that formation. The novelty’s gone, not to say it can’t work. Vick may serve best as misdirection in that case. I wonder how long McNabb will stick around after this year regardless
1 - Mcnabb is quoted as saying that he pushed for the signing of vick
2 - Agreed, however he may be effective in a role where you see him lineup differently at the LOS as a WR or RB or in the wildcat
3 - Agreed as well, Vick is an all around bad guy

Ageed however, that is a pretty tall measuring stick. My interest lies more in what he can contribute and where his future lies, rather than past sins. He does, after all have an opportunity to undo some of those wrongs with animal organizations. Like any other repeat offender(granted the mary jane in the water bottle thing was overblown) it remains to be seen if he can fly straight. And before "hows that different from you and I " guy chimes in, it is. Very different, and If I have to explain to you, well…

I was being facetious…well mostly, anyways. Hell,I think it would be wrong for anyone to compare Vick to the baby killer,Carruth. Although a large percentage of people treat him as such. Which falls into your point of having more interest in how straight he can fly from now on.

There are the cute ones, the not so cute ones and then of course the downright icky.
Unless of course they are eaten in your culture then it does not matter if they are cute.
Fuck this. My boy Ocho Cinco gonna steal the fuckin show this year. Plus he’s probably pissed off right now cuz Vick still grabbing all the attention!
Watch him ride a horse to the stadium in the season opener.
child please

as long as we all realize dogfighting is NOT the same as a boxing match or UFC match…
Hey Mike,
I must say that I have a lot of respect for you and the way you kept this story on the T-Nation boards pretty much single handedly, this is one of those shitty ironies that life sometimes throws at us.
I too, am a dog lover and own an English Bull Terrier and a German Shepherd. If my team had hired Vick I think I would have abandoned them. It takes a special kind of nasty bastard to get into dog fighting; I don’t think he got anything like he deserved!
All the best to you and yours.
Cheers,
Chris
It’s all money guys, that’s all. The Eagles can go eff themselves as far as I care.
