Very High Estradiol

I’m going to tell you something that no one else here would reccommend.
I was in the same situation as you. Taking 100mgs per week split into two injections, yielding me a 977 Total T.
But at this dosage without an ai I was emotional, tired, blood pressure went up, and held water. So I began taking an ai. No matter what dosage I’d take it would end up bringing my estrogen too low. But I felt better with lower estrogen then high.

Still with low estrogen I wasn’t able to hold water like I should, joints weren’t strong, dry skin, erections weren’t consisten, and had some sleep issues. I could never dial in the ai.

So I did the unimaginable, I lowered my dosage to 60mgs per week and dropped the ai.
LOL NEWB BRO YOU ONLY HAS 600 TEST LEVEL NAOW DONT YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO BE AT TOP OF RANGE EVEN THO AVERAGE 20 YEAR OLD NOWADAYS IS ONLY AROUND 650~.
at that level I had a free test of 16(9-20). Not too shabby, as free test is what matters.

Anyways you get my point. I don’t have to deal with having too high estrogen today, too low after my ai and this rollercoaster since I’ve dropped my dosage. The reality is that most of us never had 1000 Total T’s even in our 20’s and that’s a fact. I’ve read so many blood work and talked to so many people and maybe 5% of them actually do.
Hell even look at the average level nowadays. a 900 Total T is in the 95% percentile, the lucky few. Anywho most of us shoot for too high a level, and then require an ai and are never able to completely dial ourselves in. Reality is, most shouldn’t need an ai on hrt if they are using the correct dosage for their individual phisiology.

My friend and I both had blood work before our first cycles. He was a lucky guy having a total t of 900, Kid had abs since birth and was shaving at 12. Me on the other hand was just average joe with a total t of 550. Funny thing was this kid ate junk and didn’t work out while I was a stickler for diet and exercise.

Anywho on hrt doses his estrogen stays low without and issue, but when I brought my Total t up to 900, a level which I didn’t have naturally (albeit maybe during actual puberty) I had estrogen issues. I’m only 23 btw anyways lol, still though I think you should try it.

I’d rather have a lower level and feel good consistently. Don’t worry you can still blast a few times a year if you really want to add some muscle.

Hi Hack…sorry I hadn’t replied, whole family had the flu and just now back on my
feet. Joemamma has a great point above.

If you want to feel great (libido, mood, erection strength, etc) I’d follow his advice
and cut your dose down to 60mg/wk. Many men just don’t have the needed chemistry to
support much more T than that, especially if you have been low T your entire life.

Personally I cannot use more that 87mg / week without losing the positive effects of TRT.
It’s enough for me to make slow gains in the gym which require hard work, but not so much
that side effects appear.

Once or twice per year I’ll blast with larger doses. I make big strength and size gains, but
I feel like shit emotionally and otherwise.

Wow guys! Thanks, I have ben thinking about that. So im at a cross roads today. I can def feel the eff3ect of high E2. If I take my 1/4 AI today, and skip my next T dose on Monday, you think Ill crash my E2. Maybe I wont need AI next week since ill be cutting my T dose in half.

Thoughts?

Morning everyone!

So its been a while, been doing my best to dial in my protocol, and I think i’m very close finally. Here is my protocol.

40mg test cyp, Friday morning .25mg exemestane in the morning. 40mg test cyp Monday night, .25mg exemestane at night.

My only concern is in the mornings after taking exemestane I have no morning wood. E2 seems that 25 or maybe a bit higher, and I am very nervous, heavy chest and acne. But taking .25mg exemestane seems to drop my E2 a bit too much. Maybe time for liquid.

labs below:

Hematocrit 54 (37.5-51.0)

Free Testosterone(Direct) 19.8 8.7-25.1

Testosterone, Total, LC/MS 652.3 348.0-1197.0

Dihydrotestosterone 18 L

Estradiol 25.4 (7.6-42.6)

Thoughts ???

Thanks all!

I’m gradually arriving at this same conclusion myself. I’ve been mostly lurking in here since July '13 when I started TRT @ 100mg/wk in divided doses. Have used both anastrozole and aromasin (not simultaneously) in attempts to dial in E2. Crashed it with anastrozole (I’m apparently an over-responder) but struggled to bring it down with aromasin. It seems chasing mid-20s E2 can be very frustrating, mostly because the only sensible way to do it is with a lot of patience, diligent logging, and labs.

I’m not done yet (am willing to feel a bit less than 100% in exchange for the benefits of high-range T) but it sure has been a challenge.

All of this is absolutely FWIW!

Hack, cut your Aromasin back by 1/3 to 1/2.
AND…go and donate blood, your HCT is way too high.

@PKNY Donated blood on purpose after seeing such high hematocrit. Thanks for the concern!

I was doing soo well!

Here is what happened.

So took my 40mg test dose on Monday night, that night I was also feeling heavy chest, and a little emo. (Tell tale sign that my E is high) (Same night donating blood)

So, I decided to change my protocol just a bit for ease of use. I took 1/4 (I normally take an 1/8) of aromasin, thinking over nght it will be in my system, and as the peak of test hits 12 hours later I should be fairly even. Tuesday morning rolls around and Im a raging hornball, I say finally, back to normal.

By mid afternoon, it started to get replaced with being mildly irritated, to the evening fully irritated, and i’m thinking crap, i’ve crashed my E!

So, hopefully by tomorrow morning, ill be a bit back to normal, meeting girl in the am.

So, with the aromasin pill, cutting it any smaller than a 1/4 is just wasting soo much, and never accurate.

Suggestions? I think I just need to get liquid at this point.

What a rollercoaster…
I read the entire thing and will say what some aren’t saying…

YOU ARE TO QUICK TO JUDGE and MAKE SNAP ADJUSTMENTS…
You need to ride out a protocol for 2-3 weeks and check bloods… Not adjust your shit every second day…
I don’t wanna come off as a dick, that’s not my point… Just think you should let things settle for longer before changing.

Good luck

Exactly. Pick a reasonable protocol and stick with it until you can get more testing. You’re going to drive yourself nuts trying to make daily or even weekly adjustments. No doubt you’re already feeling things that aren’t there or are unrelated to your AI dosage.

I am on the same rollercoaster, Does the Urologist you use have a better way?
