Venus Williams

Has anyone else noticed the massive shift in body type for Venus? She used to be quite full figured, now she has become a waif. I remember watching her in college when she first got on the tour and thinking wow, no one is going to touch her.

Now days she seems to be concerned about her clothing line and modeling. Have injuries, drugs, or just a desire to be more well-rounded curtailed her desire to play tennis more often?

Maybe she came off the juice?

you do know that women have all kinds of mental issues right?

Hmm, I never thought of that. But considering her age when she broke into professional tennis and the number of years ago that was I would not think she was taking anything back then, but maybe I am just ignorant.

Uhh ya. I am married!!!

Waif?

Pictures please.

I never thought of Venus Williams as ever being that big. Her sister, Serena, always looked ridiculously huge to me and very manly (drugs, hmmmm?). Venus has always seemed more “normal” to me as far as a female athlete goes.

I watched her win that last tournament and then was watching her being interviewed on ESPN this morning and it reminded me of how small she was during that last tourney.

I have never thought Serena looked manly. She just looks like a woman of gigantic proportions. Huge knockers, a massive derrière, and shoulders/thighs that match the rest of her mammoth physique.

I’d hit it.

I’m not sure if I would survive hitting it.

But I would hit it nonetheless.

I have worked on and off with Venus for the past 9 years. I last saw her in July. Waif? Not even close. You are out of your mind. She is in the best shape of her life right now. You wish you had the male equivalent of her body.

You do realize that she has a younger sister who has always been heavier, correct? It’s not as if they are one person.

I love how some of you think it’s ok to blatantly make drug usage accusations. You do realize these players are randomly drug tested throughout the year at the majors and in any international competition?

The only drug Serena is on is too much cake after dinner.

TJN713 is that Vivianne from onion booty in your avatar?

I’ve never kept her and her sister straight, so maybe it is Serena who was always the huge one.

Regardless, though I certainly don’t purport to know with any authority whether either of them used drugs, my suspicions are very, very strong, at least for the larger (ahem – huger!) of the two. That’s not an accusation, merely a suspicion.

And as for them being “randomly drug tested throughout the year,” etc. – HA!!! Do you think you’re convincing anyone with THAT line??! Jackie Joyner Kersey claimed the same shit for YEARS, and lookey at what came of her. Same with the Tour de France riders (cough * Floyd Landis * cough), same with UFC fighters (cough * Sean Sherk), etc., etc., etc. Many pro athletes use, and often with sophisticated programs and drugs to circumvent the tests. Sometimes they get caught. More often, most likely, they don’t.

I never said drug testing was infallible. However, when was the last time a high level tennis player got busted for the used of performance enhancing drugs? I can think of one, offhand in the past 3 years. There is not a drug culture in tennis like those other sports you mentioned.

That proves absolutely nothing. To quote Donald Rumsfeld of all people “the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” No Tour de France winner had been caught before Floyd either. So what?

By the way, with regard to tennis, John McEnroe admitted that he had used back in the day: http://www.cnn.com/2004/SPORT/01/11/mcenroe.steroids.ap/

Dude, a four year old article with McEnroe saying he was mysteriously given steroids AGAINST HIS KNOWLEDGE in the 80s does not exactly prove your point. Keep trying.

I just can’t believe that anyone, in this day and age, thinks there isn’t a “drug culture” in any sport. Drugs in ALL sports are a reality man. Does that mean Serena uses drugs? No. But just because no one has been “caught” doesn’t mean there isn’t drug use in tennis. Just means no one has been caught.

And hey, up till 4 months ago, did you think there was a “gambling culture” in tennis? And what’s worse, taking drugs to try and win or taking money to try and lose?

PICTURES!!!

And you are talking about Venus Williams? The older and lankier sister. People mix them up.
