Ventrogluteal Injection Spot Location?

What happened to your penis?

For anybody interested, my slightly larger box above the one Jake drew is the spot you would want to hit.

Many thanks again to Jake for donating your body to science!

EDIT Damn, didn’t work.

Trying again.

lol, thank you cortes. That’s where I injected today, and it went great. I was able to get the needle in all the way, but it was more painful to push it in. I would assume this is because it is much more solid muscle in this area. I will find out tomorrow how everything went.

I just saw this thread while lookig for the ventroglute site, fuckin hilarious man

I just started shooting into my ventro glute this cycle and it lives up to all the hype. Easy spot to access, no pain, and can handle large volume. What more could you ask for?

Yes.

Here’s my method for finding it. Say you will pin your left ventroglute: Stand. Put your weight on your right leg and relax the left. Using the left hand (pinning with right), put your thumb on your iliac crest (the pelvic bone). Now use your middle finger to find your trochanter (top of the femur). If you abduct and adduct your left leg you’ll be able to feel it.

Once you have your fingers in these positions, put your index finger directly in the middle of this spot. You should feel soft tissue there when relaxed, and you should be able to flex this by tensing your leg muscles, and the spot will become firm. That’s your spot.

Keep your weight on your right leg and pin. If you are decently lean any needle between 1" and 1.5" will work great.

Good instructions. I found the spot. Thanks Cortes.

I am confused.

Is this a BAD pic of the spot where most ppl inject in the glute - ie: the upper, outer quarter, or is it somewhere else… kinda looks a bit near illiac spine or something to me…

Now, have injected alot… IV, SC, IM… calves, thighs, hands, feet, forearms, delts, glutes, biceps, triceps, other peoples necks, arms, legs, muscles, skin, veins… you get the idea.

Even that seems a little too close to comfort for me! It is a very ā€œactiveā€ and gristley area it seems. Close to joints that have a lot more nervous tissue and vascular activity… and in an area that is extremely sensitive. But…

I found the spot, might try it for a change of pace…

Bombs away! I was up late and went for it. 2 cc’s kinda felt a little weird going in but it wasn’t too bad. I’ll keep hitting these spots if I don’t wake up with a baseball size lump. Luck for me i still got my winter bulking clothes with a few more inches on the waste lol.

Exactly the opposite. Less nervous tissue and less vascular activity. And you can shoot up to 5ccs. It’s a great site.

Yea you still should proceed with the due caution
I drew blood during aspiration the other day there.

Really.

I’m still waiting for the day I draw blood. I know it will come, but I have pinned quite a few times now and still have yet to draw anything but air bubbles.

Happens me about once out of every ten times I inject.

Really? I have done near 100 IM’s and still no drawn blood, in most bodyparts too!

Just wait, Tuesday it’ll happen… i will panic, it will congeal, block the pin and waste the shot!

Now i said it!

Joe

You guys that draw blood, do you just take the pin out and stick it back in?

I’ve yet to, like you. Bushy suggests simply backing the needle out a little and reposition it, aspirate and go.
