Velocity Diet Questions

Third day in.

(1) I’m not hungry. I’m following it exactly. Is that normal?

(2) SURGE now tastes too sweet. Could barely stand it. Normal?

(3) I have becomes somewhat more absent-minded. Usual, from the carb depletion?

All replies welcome!!

On a work related note, last time I did the V-Diet I was a bit short tempered on the job… lacking patience. So, probably a good idea to get the adjustment period in during the holidays.

It’s been a while, but I remember being surprised that I wasn’t hungry at first. Sounds normal to me.

Good luck, stick with it!

Thanks, Vroom! How’d the diet work out? Do you do it 2 or 3 times per year?

I really am noticing the carb depletion. Thank God for green tea supps + caffeine!!

I just started the diet as well. I transitioned in with one meal a day (chicken & veggies) for 2 days and finished my first full day yesterday. I wasn’t hungry at all and found my taste for surge changed too. I used to think it tasted horrible, and now I think it just tastes really sweet. In terms of absentmindedness, I just completed law school exams so I had no brain cells left and cant tell the difference lol.

Heh, while it worked great, I won’t be doing it more than once a year at most…

While I’d like to be leaner, I’m not overly fat these days anyway - possibly in the spring of 2007 though.

1 - My wife and I were on the V Diet for 26 days and hunger wasn’t an issue. Remember there is a difference between hunger and cravings.

2 - Same thing for me. I started adding one scoop of 100% ON chocolate whey to it. Thib suggested it and I gave it a try.

3 - Can’t help you here as I am usually this way all the time.

I lost 26 pounds in 26 days. Hunger was rarely an issue. However, the desire for “food” was. We had one meal a week. It was lean protein, green beans, sweet potato, and green salad with vegetables.

I agree with Vroom here. I will not be doing it more than once a year. In fact I did not do it once in 2006. I am considering doing it again this coming spring.

Guys… I am going to give this diet another try… after the holidays
Carbs are not my friend and I have a hard time going without them or cutting down… I work 24 hour shifts as a firefighter so needless to say we eat well while at work and going that long while being ready to respond is hard…

like someone else said in this post or a related one… I love food so to go on a protein shake diet is a challenge and to feel tired and irritable… while thinking of eating but I guess the one healthy meal in the morning or early in the day should help… really hard for me to stay out of the cabinets at night as well I relate it to being a crack addict looking for my next fix…

I get incredible cravings after low-carbing it all day… like I want to shovel down a whole box of cereal or spoon out an entire jar of peanut butter with my strawberry preserves in spoon… maybe there is something that I can do to help this… I use the benefiber… but have not used the milled flax
I know this diet will drop the weight
Just need advise from anyone who has experienced the same and what to do to combat it
Thanks

i’m still wary of this diet… doesn’t it make it easy to lose muscle? Sounds interesting yet hard. I’m thinking of giving it a try.

Does Metabolic Drive still have only 27 servings per tub?

I was the same way. Low-carb diets always sucked for me.

I think that throwing in the post-workout Surge makes all the difference in the world.

Man, I’m in the same exact boat as you are, and am also planning to do it starting the first week of January. After basically being on the see food diet for 2 years it’s going to be rough, though I have been tapering some carbs out of my diet over the past month to prepare a bit (cutting out pasta and any non whole grains). Maybe we can motivate each other.

I think that would difinitely be helpful… to know someone else is in the same boat and to help each other along the way would be nice

I’m down 3 pounds and workouts are miserable. My energy is way down and for some reason Spike now just gives me a headache.

My hat is definitely off to those who do this for 28 days!

Thank God I’m off work until January 3rd!!
