Vegetables: Raw vs. Blended

I hate the taste of most raw/cooked vegetables. So I usually blend them into a drink. Two-three shots per day–can chug down the equivalent of several servings.

Question: does grinding up vegetables take away any of their nutrients/benefits? I imagine fiber content is decreased because less work needs to be done digesting. Thanks

I’m no expert, but I wouldn’t think it would change anything. It’s all going to the same place, and your body would only break it down anyway. You’re only making it easier for your body to digest is what I would lean towards thinking.

Because grinding increasing the surface area absorption of nutrients would likely increase (think baby food). Fiber content stays the same, but again, surface area increases so beneficial effects increase.
