Varicocele and TRT

I don’t know what you mean boss! Seems like all data points to varicocele causing low testosterone. I guess that’s why im asking for the varicocele treatment along with my vasectomy. I consider it an opportunity to increase the quality of my life (living without testicular pain) and make sure we don’t have any unexpected pregnancies. If I get an increase of 170 ng/dl from that one surgery… Ill take it!!!

Actually, there are studies that say you get a 150FT boost by correcting a variocele.

150… 170… Whatever. Ill take it. @wade91 I have clomid in hand and Nolva en route but I am going to wait before I take it. I figure I will wait until after I recover from surgery. I will have blood work done before and after surgery (probably 4 to 6 weeks after surgery) just to see where I end up. Depending on the outcome of those test I will probably run a mini pct to stimulate some production.

@gonadthebarbarian,

In the current study, Dr. Goldstein and his colleagues measured the preoperative testosterone levels of 325 men with varicoceles and in 510 men without varicoceles. They found that men at every age with varicoceles had significantly lower testosterone levels (416 vs. 469 ng/dL) than the comparison group. After undergoing microsurgical varicocelectomy, testosterone levels significantly increased in 70 percent of the patients, with a mean increase of 178 ng/dL

That’s where I got the 170 from boss. I know there are other studies out there. JS

Gonna do the same get the surgery and wait 2 .months then test and if not happy try a little clomid my problem is I have a left and a right but the right is sub clinical and the surgeons giving me shit about fixing the right saying “but is subclinical” idgaf if it’s such an easy outpatient procedure pull it out ya d head… lol such an easy surgery but don’t want to risk something lol how confident are you doc!!! All well meeting with the girl surgeon right next door next Tuesday if she will do both adios to that clown…hes the one also telling me my symptoms don’t match low t even though my symptoms snatch exactly low t lol

As far as I know my Varicocele is only on the left side but I am sure the doc will be checking around on the 22nd. Im ready to get this thing over with. How long did it take after your consultation to get a surgery scheduled???

All depends on the availability of the surgeon

What was the timeline for you? Weeks? Months?

Bout a month did they test your fsh and lh?

No. I recieved both of my blood work from a general practioner that knew next to nothing about hormones. He didnt test for lh and fsh. Im thinking about just going through privatemdlabs.com and having the right bloodwork done.

Ive posted my blood work on other threads if you wanna see them

If you don’t mind just tell me your lh and fsh

I dont have them

I was responding to wade who said varioceles don’t affect T.

I think you and I agree.

Edit: BTW, good luck with your surgery, please report back with your results. I might consider the surgery myself one day…

Why haven’t you?

TSH should be closer too 1.0
T3 is too low re midrange.
fT3 is the active hormone and not tested

Post body temperatures.
How you feel may not relate to body temperatures.

You have been having primary hypogonadism with high LH. hCG cannot fix that.

I was fine before the varicocele only thing I can tho k is it’s damaging my testicles right now hopefully surgery works I’ll get temps but all the uros said it’s ok my lh has been fluctuating between 2.7 to 7.9 to 2.0 they said it’s hard to get N accurate reading on lh

L
Your post up above said secondary recently lol i guess im fucked well see after surgery and clomid treatment few people have said my test levels arent horrible but my free t is and the varicocele could he binding up my testes from making a larger ammount ot t to raise my free into normal range

Well, no one ever advised I do it (they probably should have when I was young), and I’m not really one to seek out surgery.

What if it could help though I hear it’s not a hard procedure and it’s recovery is not bad all in all seems less dangerous then 90% of surgery out there what about your testosterone man
