Hey ive been doing my workouts for lke 50 days or so already, goin heavy on just about every exercise for upper body (high sets, low reps like 8x3 or 6x3) do u think i need varitation in my?workout right now? throughout the 50 days i have changed grip and sets and reps and such. is that enough variation? what do u guys do to vary ur workouts?
As long as you’re still seeing results you should continue what you’re doing. If your progress has ceased, then you should consider changing around movements/parameters.
You mention you go heavy on every exercise, with high sets and low reps.
But you also mention you changed sets and reps.
So which one is it?
I like to change my workout every six weeks. Just to keep it interesting.
There’s no need to change anything just for the sake of changing it. If it’s working and you’re continuing to see results, stick to it. If you’re hitting a plateau then you need to change.
I’d say a good rule of thumb is to change maybe every 3 months, (if needed). It’s also easier to break the year up into training phases that way.
