Comments: Went to Chicago this weekend. It was a pretty good trip, I ate like shit and I think I gained 10 pounds in hot dogs. The workout last Thursday went pretty well. I might be mentally blocked once I get up around 545. I saw someone worked low safety squats instead of deads for a while so I might try that. Training this summers been random, just like my schedule. I’m looking forward to the routine. On a sad note we had to put down my 16 year old golden retriever today. I was glad we got so many years from her. My erectors were getting kind of weird so I stopped my workout after the 575.

I’ll take that test one of the first weeks I get back to school.

Comments: Today was my last day shadowing. I learned a ton this summer and I’m very fortunate to have the guidance that I do. Today’s workout got me sweating, but it was not taxing. I’ll be with my regular training group so hopefully I can get some weight moving.

Hopefully he pushes me a ton. We’re planning on doing a meet before the years out. Hopefully we get that in. I need to get stronger. My squat hasn’t moved in a while. I should be in the 500s but I’m still in the 4s. I need to work in some more singles and keep my intensity up. I still need to hit my goal of 400, 500, 600. I think training smarter and with more intensity will do it. We had our second test today so I was a little exhausted getting into the gym late. After watching one of those warrior motivational videos I know I just have to attack it every time and get the excuses out of my head. I’m looking forward to this year.
