I HAVE DECIDED. I’m giving him a trip to a nearby-ish city to see one of my relatives in a college play on the Saturday following VD. Another relative may travel from a different city to join us! (Not for sex, though. Although I don’t think he’d be opposed to it. But that’s not the sort of thing she and I do together usually. We’re more into talking.)
What could be more romantic than a weekend with my extended family?

Wow.
Talk about anticlimactic… :-([/quote]

Good work, you’ve completely failed in every possible way.

Aw, have I really? There’s still Thursday, with its sexy clothes and sexy fun opportunity. There’s the road trip to the city. That offers opportunities for play. There will probably be a “nap” upon arrival, before seeking out family. There will be eating and drinking and fun, which we’re both fond of. And then there will be a return to the hotel, where the night and morning and middle of the night are ours. So no worries, I think.
He emailed this video this morning, subject line: “this looks like you!” Which it doesn’t at all but I do, um, have that outfit. I would never hit anyone, though.

Remember that time on the Simpsons Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday present? He even had the holes on the ball drilled out to fit his fingers.

lol
I am probably one of the sappist guys who have posted in this thread and even I think that sounds awful.
LOL, Em, I like you a lot but you just started a thread asking a bunch of men what you should get another man for VD, and settled by taking him to see a play that has someone in your family in it. Read Uncle Gabby’s post about the bowling ball, because it’s spot on.
But seriously, if you made a list of “Things I Would Least Like To Do on Valentines Day”, going to a play & hanging out with my SO’s extended family would be right up at the top of the list with watching a Greys Anatomy marathon and eating a tofu salad while being kicked in the balls.
