Using Test Boosters at 18?

Hey guys… this might be a noobish question. But I was reading “13 Superstacks” by: Chris Shugart and a subtitle says that Alpha Male and TRIBEX gold are only for people over 21. But on the supplement facts for these supplements it says that you should be 18.

The reason I’m interested in test boosters is I’m on a medication (accutane) which I think is lowering my test levels. I’m still making progress in the gym, I hit 230 on bench last night at 155 pounds bodyweight. But yeah, I feel like I’m not as full of testosterone as I used to be since I started the accutane 4 months ago. I’ve got another two months on the drug so basically I’m wondering…

Should I just deal with it or should I try Rez-V (when its back in stock) and ZMA? Should I avoid Alpha Male and TRIBEX Gold?

I’ve heard that ZMA is a supplement that basically everyone should be taking anyways, so maybe I should get ZMA and nothing else.

Stay away from the test booster like Chris said. go with the ZMA tho…

…yeah, that’s really not a good idea. You’re gonna want to stay away from test boosters for another few years.
Just deal with it for now - ZMA certainly won’t hurt.

you do realize an increase in testosterone will cause acne? due to the stimulation of the sebaceous glands. sooooo basically, if you want your test levels high stop taking accutane. if you take a test booster and accutane they will just cancel each other out. not to mention youll still feel the adverse affects of both drugs…

OTC natural test boosters are definitely ok at the age of 18. There’s no natural test suppression and as such there is no problem.

Could you cite a study regarding test and accutane interactions? Becuase what you said here is that:

  1. An increase in testosterone will cause acne.
  2. In my experience accutane causes acne to flare up first, so does this mean my test levels would be soaring or going down?

How exactly do they cancel eachother out, and yet you still feel adverse affects[sic] of both?

OP, if you are really concerned, get your bloodwork checked out…oh wait…if you’re on accutane it should be getting checked once a month anyway. Check your test levels and see if they are low, though I would consult with a doctor whether they are safe to use with accutane first.

Nothing wrong with an 18 year old taking a test booster if it is low.

Thanks for using your brain before posting. Chump obviously picked an appropriate username.

Testosterone won’t cancel out the effects of accutane, if this were true then women would see better effects from it than men and not vice versa.

And I do get my triglycerides checked monthly, I suppose I can get my doctor to fill out a form to get my testosterone levels checked but the healthcare system in this country is a bit of a shambles and so it might be a month before I can get an appointment.

I think I’m just going to go on ZMA for now. Are the test boosting effects of ZMA noticeable?

I didn’t notice that much of a test boost from ZMA personally, but I’m going on how I felt so I can’t be certain.

Rez-V would be a better option in my opinion.
