Use Myoplex or not?

I am a Grow! protein user and have been since day one and wanted your guys opinion on this. I paid my family a visit for the holidays and as I was at home looking in the pantry, I saw 3 full boxes of Myoplex lite that my mother bought almost 2yrs. ago. She stopped using protein supplements since then and just relied on whole foods. She’s been wanting to throw out the box, but I’m feel bad in letting that go to waste considering I’m on a tight budget with supps. But in reading the protein content,I saw Soy protein isolate as the 3rd protein in the ingredient list. I usually avoid all soy like the plague but I am thinking of using this box since it is protein. I’m just paranoid of the soy in it. What do you guys think?

T-warrior,

man that’s a tough one–considering your tight budget. Personally, I’d toss the junk, but I can afford to say that.In reality there’s probably not enough soy in there to hurt you–especially if you’re young with good T levels.

To be safe I’d ask Dr. Berardi

First check the expiration date. If it’s okay, then you can use it mixed in with Grow!. I did this with some old, bad tasting protein I had lying around.

Cutting the Myoplex with Grow! will dilute the amount of soy and make it taste better to boot. This is a fair compromise: it doesn’t go to waste and you don’t ingest too much soy from the Myoplex.

Sell the Myoplex on eBay.

Use the money you make to buy
Low-Carb Grow!.

Win, win.

Donate it to charity.

You know I was in the same boat a month ago, my sister also used myoplex for a bit and knew I was into that “bodybuilding stuff” so she gave me about 50 packets of the stuff. I just said thanks and threw it in my room I like Biotest products too much it would be like going from a mercedes down to a hyunda

Actually, I think that Myoplex is not that bad. I was using it (Deluxe) for a while as a morning shake. First of all, it contains micellar casein (yes that’s exactly what Biotest is just introducing in its new Grow!) as well as complex carbs derived from brown rice. Besides, it tastes great!

Before I knew what the hell I was doing(ok, I still don’t), I bought some Myoplex Lite. I got 20 servings of the Chocolate lovers flavors. I could hardly down 3 of the flavors, I get about half of the shake down and just start gagging. It was that bad. The mint flavor was ok, but still nothing on Grow!.

Grrrrr!

Yes, it contains micellar casein, but only a few grams! This is what I’ve been trying to tell you guys.

(Take it from me, I developed the prototype of Myoplex in my kitchen!)

On the other hand, micellar casein makes up almost 50% of the protein in Biotest’s Grow!

I really hope you are right! I ordered 10 jugs of new Grow!. The only thing that is strange to me is PREORDER. It really sucks.

The new Low-Carb Grow! is now in stock, so it’s not a pre-order any longer.

Dude,

Your taste buds are seriously whacked…

I’ve had two cases of Myoplex sitting in my office floor for over a year. Never have been able to choke the stuff down. Even the mice don’t bother it.

Until Grow!, I thought all protein powders tasted bad. Thank God for Biotest!

through my job (vitamin/supplement retail) I acquired some myoplex “lite”…and I have never tasted anything worse.
however, if you’ve get it free, add splenda, and drink it real fast, the “carb sense” (what a fucking stupid name!) ain’t real bad. but I’d never pay money for that shit.
