I mentioned over and over I did not know the womens national team had a salary ( This is unheard of in the International game) . I said over and over they can ask for more money. After all they are World Cup Champs (4x by the way). So they probably deserve it.
I simply was explaining why they got So little money compared to the men. This is because of prize money and tournament revenue.
I actually watched and am a fan of the womens world cup as I love soccer and its an exciting tournament filled with alot of talented players. Unfortunately I was also unaware who most of the players were and Im sure it will happen again when the next time we bring their names up ( in 4 years)

In fairness, my point is a little of both. Both my wife and I are huge fans of kids’ sports.
Heck, if you recall my wife is a pretty famous (in those obscure circles) rock climber. We get trips to the Alps so she can show off to kids and inspire kids to climb. Not to mention tons of swag from outdoor companies that want to take our picture in the gear.
And, yeah, part of the reason we get the stuff, even in retirement from competition is my wife is extremely pretty and girly while still being tough.

What’s wrong with this? Why do you keep bringing it up? They initially wanted a revenue sharing model from the games played but the USSF turned them down. They did earn more than the men. It doesn’t mean the men can’t earn more if they qualify for the next World Cup. Winning the World Cup brings in more ratings, advertising potential and sponsorships, which increases revenue, which increases leverage.
How about this. Go back to the articles where you sourced the women’s basic pay and tell me what the NET revenue for the men and women’s team was.
Don’t be silly. What if they played 30 games? That’s 130k more for the men. 40? That’s 260k more for the men. Do they even play more than 10 friendlies a year? Do they only play friendlies? Is this the main source of revenue for both teams? These numbers are meaningless when considering the whole issue.

You can research how the members vote the new president in, they split it into groups, and one of the member blocks consist of the women and their delegates. And the main reason he got their backing was because of his ‘promise’ of looking into their gender pay gap bullshit (not sure how he framed it at the time but it was about their previous lawsuit)

It’s a rare occurrence that won’t happen again for another god knows how long. It was a fluke, a disastrous fluke. I’m sure you don’t even know how the men got eliminated do you?
