Compare? I think you should have it in your mind that you are much better off than most of these other countries, it’s called having a bit of humility, which this team seems void of. Clearly, since they decided to embarrass Thailand and act like a bunch of idiots with choreographed celebrations at 13-0.
I don’t care that Rapinoe is an in your face dyke, Wanda Sykes is an in your face dyke and I love her, and most people do. She’s brash, hilarious, but self-aware, and most importantly she is humble and shows humility.
I’ve seen instances of Rapinoe being rational, and normal. I know she’s probably playing up to the crowd, to the media, I’m sure she’s even a great person. But it doesn’t change the fact that their approach to this whole thing has left many people sour.
What does it change if the deal wasn’t fair to begin with other than give them more leverage to reopen negotiations to strike a fair deal?
Read what I wrote again. Tell me how I’m playing sides.
Are you assuming that the federation will not be using their own dirty tactics when it comes to a lawsuit? You wanna see how easily I can fuck with numbers on a pnl and balance sheet? In these kinds of situations, it’s safe to assume that both sides will play dirty, just in different ways.
And yet you did a silly little victory dance over an abstract example the article gave when the article itself didn’t come to any fixed conclusions about whether the lawsuit has merit.
What source bro I just wiki’d it. It’s not complex to find ratings.
The deal wasn’t fair? Are you saying it’s not fair or are you saying they think it isn’t fair? I personally think it is fair in comparison to the men. That’s the kicker, when you look at the difference in the agreement you see the benefits the women get. Their argument, as presented in that write up is that the women find it unfair when you add in the MLS contracts which should be completely irrelevant to their fight with the USSF.
What tactics? I’m talking about the public aspect of this, not whatever happens behind closed doors. I did a victory dance, does that bother you? you seem to take this personal.
You do take sides, you make excuses all day while presenting no counter argument to why their lawsuit is legitimate. Given the information we have it doesn’t look good for the USWNT. I’m still waiting to hear a compelling argument on why their grievances as legitimate not just from you but from anyone in the media, any article, anything at all.
So 3 of the highest rating games (not including this years which had I think 15million), is equivalent to 2 round of 16 games for the men, and the highest rated being a GROUP STAGE game vs Portugal.
So, the highest rated women’s World Cup game ever was a final in which they won vs the highest rated mens game which had slightly less in 2014 in a GROUP stage match in which they tied.
Let me pose this question to you since you like to pretend you are so business savvy…
if you had to invest your money where would your money go? to the women or to the men?
Huh? I’m simply waiting for someone, I don’t even care if it’s an opinion piece, to put together a compelling reason why the women have any legitimate claim to higher pay in comparison to the men outside of the politicized bullshit we’ve gotten.
ok so do you have an argument here? so far I haven’t seen anything from you other than “can you provide this” “oh ok so can you provide me this” “oh ok but I’m not going to base anything on my limited information”
are you going to get anywhere with anything you’re saying or what bro?
and yeah I mentioned the 2019 World Cup having about 15million views… that’s below the u.s vs Germany group stage match in 2014.
Now what I can’t find is the non World Cup views for the USWNT. That’d be a nice thing to see, I bet the ratings are abysmal.
So either come up with a decent argument on why the women should get paid more or just bow out the fucking thread because so far you haven’t given shit
Maybe for you because you get impressed by someone saying “derpyyy derpa what’s the net revenue”
as if dt79 just graduated with an accounting degree from college and assumes no one else knows what net revenue implies… as if it even FUCKING MATTERS in this argument.
Let’s entertain it - did he take a nose dive into the financials to see which program has more costs associated? (you don’t have to do that, clearly it’s the men) but I doubt he did, and if he did what did he glean from it? apparently not enough to make an informed decision on which program he’d invest more capital into.
even if the actual profits earned for the USSF were higher for the women in these last few years what is the future growth potential? how are you going to calculate that? what’s going to be your return on investment moving forward? so you can decide who gets more funding, who should get paid more, etc.
well… I have already showed the ratings for the last few World Cup years between both teams. The USWNT is already world champions 4 times over, and those are their ratings. The men can barely make it out of the round of 16 yet look at the numbers. Who has more growth potential? You can assume it will be the men. Can’t you?
No, of course you can’t see that because YOU’RE A FUCKING MORON =D
You don’t seem to understand how this works. I have given enough to show the lawsuit has merit, I.e, that it’s not “frivolous”. To go any further would be attempting to prove whether or not the verdict of lawsuit should be ruled in favor of the plaintiffs.
YOU have chosen to do the latter by making the argument that the women shouldn’t be paid more, i.e, the current salaries are fair.
