I have no problem of them asking for a higher salary to play for the national team. I just want people to understand the why there is such a difference in the PRIZE MONEY.
The men definitely prefer their way. It pays them more.
Also, the women are generally unhappy with their salary structure, per the lawsuit.

I did not know the womens team got a salary to play for the national team (despite the fact the rest of the worlds team rely on their club to pay their salaries and playing for their nation is seen as patriotic, and then they get some bonuses based on their final finish.

If the revenue is greater for the women then why is the prize money significantly smaller for the womens world cup vs the mens world cup.
I gave you examples how it was not broadcasted in many countries in europe. Only the final was. Meanwhile the Mens world cup showed all group , r16, qf, sf, and final games as well. Not to mention the 1 hour pregame shows for the men, and the 1 hour post shows…

Example: Nike decides to sponsor the womens national team for their jerseys , equipment. They pay 100m for 20 years from the womens team to wear NIKE Jerseys. Why would Nike pay for them to be their official kit providers? Because they expect to make that money back from jersey sales…
