Bottom Line: Womens team is complaining about how much they are getting paid from bonuses from the national team that is given to them as prize money by fifa. Notice how national teams don’t have sponsors on their game jerseys?!
They are not paid a salary for the national team, instead they are paid bonuses for tournament qualifications and final finishes like every other national team. The prize money for the women is smaller then the man because of revenue.
They can ask for a higher percentage of the revenue but it does not make sense for them to make the same as the men as it is simply NOT POSSIBLE.

I just gave you facts about the differences in the PRIZE MONEY from the MENS tournament vs the WOMENS tournament.
The mens tournament has LARGER prize money due to obvious reasons such as viewership. By the way viewership/tv deals are not the same as tv ratings. Im sure some of you like to watch midget porn and leave good ratings but that does not mean the majority of the world does etc…
Which is fine. The women’s pay structure is centered around a salary. They’re less incentivizes to care about prize money.

You do not get a salary to play for your country, you get bonuses from tournament qualifications etc… Once again they are not complaining about NIKE sponsorships, they are complaining directly to the US Soccer Federation. Soccer federations do not pay their players which I stated. They are given bonuses.
Valid arguments:
- Being sponsored by Nike by wearing their cleats. Asking for more money.
- Asking for more money in their club teams.
3.Asking for equal or even a higher percentage of revenue from the teams prize money considering they have better results then the men.
Not valid arguements
- Comparing the mens to the womens tournaments, its a completely different tournament based on NAME, VIEWERSHIP, POPULARITY, SPONSORS.

If you didnt know, the national womens soccer league is CLUB LEVEL. So their issue is what they are making at club level

This does not just happen to the US.
This happens to Haiti, Japan, Zanzibar, Narnia you name it. They are earning less in prize money because of the total re venue of the tournament compared to the men… Regardless if Haiti’s womens team wins the world cup and the men finish 4th in the group stage. Ok, and I have a question for you. When you go to work do you have a set salary that you agree upon, or do you just show up to work expecting a certain amount of money?
I have an agreed upon one. And when I want more, I negotiate for more.
Which is what the women’s team is doing.
The difference is people don’t get butthurt online when I ask for a raise
