USA Women's Soccer World Cup

Understood. I just wanted to point it out to anyone reading along that has an IQ above 73.

I mean, it’s Dianne Feinstein and someone I’ve never heard of… I wouldn’t read any further into this than lip service to their base.

There’s women’s hockey? lol

I am opposed to legislation of this sort and consider it political pandering.

And I consider myself a feminist.

It’s long-standing policy to not comment on, criticize, or address members’ mothers, sisters, husbands, wives, kids, etc.

There have already been multiple comments removed from multiple members in this thread because people can’t follow the rules.

As a note to all: Consider the previous deletions sufficient warning. If it continues, suspensions will fly like free kicks.

I can’t tell if half the people here are trolling or not?

Just to clear some things.

  1. I think the women should be paid the same percentage of the revenue they bring in as the men.
  2. I do not think the women should be paid the same as the men.
  3. It was a great tournament to watch
  4. Womens soccer in general is not as popular yet and is growing. North America, Scandanavian countries and Japan and Germany besides those countries have a long way to go.
  5. How many of you will talk about womens soccer until the next world cup? Or someone brings something up about gender discrimination or something else.

Finally I am not a biast bigot, racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, arachnophic nazi. I am being objective

Okay.

Why? They have different collective bargaining agreements. They have negotiated a different pay structure.

IQ above 73? In here? Good luck with that.
Other than me, greenboy and joeviv10, there seems to be no one smart enough to even understand the simplest concepts (unless they’re trolling, which could very well be).

So what is the problem then? Pay them what you agreed to pay them. However they can not pay them what they DID NOT MAKE. The tournament prize money is not decided by the US Soccer Federation it is decided by Fifa through sponsporships,tv rights etc…Anybody who follows soccer knows that some teams before tournaments, the players and staff have a meeting with their respective federations. They speak about how the prize money will be divided. For Croatia I believe they split 50-50 between the federation and the players/staff.

I don’t see a problem. I’m just replying to your comment.

This type of government intervention isn’t worth supporting either.

Actually it’s also very popular in the U.K. and also in France, where the best women’s club sides are based.

It’s the whole equality of outcome thing that pops up every now and again. It’s silly at best.

We heard you the first 37 times you said this.

Kind of funny dude thinks only the people who agree with him are “smart enough to understand the simplest concepts” … usually that type of belief only occurs in people with low IQs … Hmmmm

I don’t think anyone on here has called you any of those things. I think you are getting mixed up with replies meant for the two posters who have displayed sexist/bigotted views on here.

I respect your views and you seem to post in a reasonable manner, I also agree with a fair bit of what you’ve said. :+1:

I’m trying to put 2 + 2 together here but it’s difficult with an IQ of only 73…

Whoa look at this egg head … I’m floating like a turd in the 60s

Lol, that wasn’t really meant for you. I don’t even know what you’ve been arguing. This thread, like so many, is a hodgepodge of nonsense with some facts sprinkled in every now and again.

@joeviv10 is mostly right about revenue generation from what I’ve read, but it’s complicated and imo he’s oversimplifying some aspects of the discussion. World Cup earnings really skew the numbers. The two organizations have negotiated different agreements with different pay structures, incentives, bonuses, etc… It doesn’t really even make sense to compare the two.

And my comment wasn’t in response to yours mate, someone else’s! :+1:
