So, you haven’t been following anything leading up to and post tournament I presume? Because everything about the USWNT has been a political shit show. From them suing their federation for equal pay on the basis of discrimination, to them literally shitting on the men’s team which is their ‘partners’ and the group that has subsidized them all this time to them ‘disrespecting the flag’, to then showboating and claiming people got on them because they are women, to slamming Trump and refusing White House visits because bleh bleh.
Some of these I don’t give a crap about, but some I do. You’re framing of this thread is completely off the mark but I didn’t expect anything more from you so I’m not surprised.

The US women won. They will get paid. They are famous. If women can do it, why can’t you?
Here’s some thrilling highlights. I don’t know much about soccer but it looks like the 4-1-4-1 formation paid off. I think it would be great if they wore shorter shorts and encouraged more tackling, but overall outstanding performance by the ladies.

Nothing the two kids have posted has anything to do with the US women’s national team. Once they saw the facts that it brings in more money to the US soccer federation than the men, the whole they don’t deserve as much money as the men argument fell apart. So they had to start talking about men vs women in head to head comp and condescendingly tell us things we already know. It’s a good thing because I thought Rapinoe was better than Messi.
I am all for equal pay etc. However it just doesn’t make sense. Shouldn’t all soccer players make the same amount then? Even if we go by results. Why did Real Madrid pay Ronaldo like 320,000 p/w and lets say Modric only 200,00 p/w. They have both won the ballon d’or etc…
I’ve actually read that the womens team took a bigger percent of the prize money to split then the mens team…
