The global perspective? They just beat a team in the finals that was only at the World Cup twice in their history. They smashed a team filled with amateur women that had to get a benefactor to pay their way 13-0. So the global perspective is that the U.S womens team has had a 30+ year advantage over their peers? Cool.
The U.S men’s team is an uphill battle. They play in the most competitive popular sport in the world where the rest of the world has taken seriously for almost 100 years lol.
And what does any of that have to do with the US soccer federation and the US women’s team?

It’s a simple formula: the men bring in less money and lose therefore they should get paid more than the women who bring in more money and win.
I could name one player on the American men’s team while being able to name many players on the national teams of other countries.

No one is pretending anything, this year, I have found the Women’s World Cup much more enjoyable than the AFCON. Millions of Brits seem to agree with me as they all tuned in to watch it too. In fact, not just in Britain but in countries across the world the viewing figures broke records for this World Cup. Don’t pretend that didn’t happen, I’ve posted articles above with all the facts and figures, clear as day.
And yet on the handful of boards I frequent (all football, mainly West Ham) the women’s game is being discussed more than ever. Most people (not everyone) have really enjoyed this World Cup and hold a similar view to myself. Again, this is perhaps somewhere where Europe and the U.S. differs perhaps?
See, this is somewhere where you are categorically wrong. There is a lot less cheating, diving, playacting, dissent in the women’s game. In fact, it’s not even remotely close, there’s an awful lot less!
We had a 19 year old girl playing bass in our band, really pretty, hot as hell, only problem, played like shit. Would it be a guy he would be booed off stage but she looked so good wearing that bass guitar, people loved her.
