Using my dip belt, the 150lb sandbag and my three kettlebells, I think I can get myself up to a 270 sandbag squat if I want.

I’m not a lunge guy either. Just trying to keep it interesting in the garage. Everyone is doing sandbags. I may have to try that too.

I like sandbags, but like kettlebells, the challenge is in progressing resistance with them. Sometimes the weight jumps are too big unless you can take some sand out, or you simply have to do more sets and reps until you can reach the next resistance level.

I have a 150 lb sandbag which I started lifting with 50 lbs sand. I’ve been slowly loading sand in about 15 lb jumps when it starts feeling light. Strange how a sandbag feels heavier than a comparable kettlebell or plate(s).

Ran the bands under the 100lb sandbag and laid/sat on it to do the exercise. Looped the band over a 10lb db to do the hammers.

Challenging. I can still add weight on the chain, too, if needed. Bands went from one foot, through the belt rings and down to the other foot. Doubled, basically.

I tried the 150 3 times. Managed to get past my eyebrows once, but I jsut don’t have the trick of stabilizing it. Thinking of adding weight to the 100 to work up to the 150. Lead shot or something.

Except for the iron plates, I donated all that stuff to the gym.

All my plates are still the old school iron ones as well.

Gym owner was so busy phoning banks and the county for loans to try and keep his gym alive this morning that he missed our appointment to transfer the weights today.

Poor guy. Sure hope his business survives.

Grip has gotten much better. I couldn’t hold 235 double overhand on the axle before this and 185 was previously challenging to clean double overhand.
