Until the Wheels Fall Off

This year I will snatch 185 and CJ 245. I can feel it. Squats and presses can do whatever but those two numbers are firm.

I start splitting next CJ session and I think it will make a big difference.

Nice lift Tony. Congrats on the PR

Damn, that looked strong bro! Just freakin awesome!

Great lift! The fiery exuberance made it moreso!

Passion! BW snatch coming up…

Your minimum standards are like my maximum goals. Well, except maybe for bench, 'cause I’m faggy like that.

Split Jerks from the Rack
barxsome
75x2
95x2
125x2
155x1
175x1
185 1x5 sets

Clean DL
185x3
225x3
245x3
275x3
305 3x3

Incline Bench
135x3
165x3
185x3
205 3x2 sets

Split jerks were horrible. they’ll get better with practice, but they were horrible.

No Squats today. I’m having a temporary body-parts swap where my left knee has decided to become an asshole and not do it’s assigned job. The clean deads are a little different than my regular deadlift. My back angle is more vertical, I rebend once the bar passes my knees and try to launch it upwards as I lock out. After years of Meat telling me to snap my hips to the bar, I’m finally doing it.

Shut it down after 2 sets on incline bench. I can count the number of times I’ve done morning training on one finger and this felt like enough today. I actually got up early to do it this morning. very out of character for me.

That’s a good workout, especially for early morning. I’m a night owl too, so I sympathize. If your vids are any indication, I’m sure your split-jerk form will be perfected in short order.

Calves are the limiting factor on the Jerks splits. Who’d’a thunk?

Nothing PR, 'cept the Gibbons today, But some good work.

You should have seen me falling all over my garage trying to do the Shankle lifts tonight.

Thanks for the good words, tyrfryer.

Only whatcha deserve man. Falling all over the garage, I do that.

great work in here.

squeeze them butt cheeks. never tried that before, must remember for when I go back to 5/3/1. Sheiko doesn’t have much overhead pressing.

Thanks nlmain. no Sheiko doesn’t have much but the competition lifts and lots of them. You have more balls than me to be doing a Sheiko program. It would certainly kill me.

Snatches
75,95,115x3
135x2
145x1
155x1
160x1,0
145x0 (no snap anymore tonight)

Squats
135,165,195,225,255x3
295x1
325x1
315x1

Push Press
135,155,175x3
195x2
205x1
215x1 (PR +5)

Good enough. A little wrung out from moving stuff from storage, didn’t have any grr tonight. Just did the sets and got through. PP went well. I nailed the groove on the last set after almost not even getting the 195.

PP 215x1

lovely little pushpress pr there for a workout without grrrr

Thanks Mainy.

I could tell from the way I racked it that I was going to get it. If my racking is tight and high, it’s going to launch well, go higher and I’ll be able to lock it out. I knew I had more in the tank which is why I didn’t do a big ole victory dance on that PR.

The snatch the other day was uncertain at best, so I had myself amped up for that one and had to discharge the excess energy.

Good lifts DCA!

You had more in you on that push press!!
