Tweaked something in my right upper and medial gluteus and right adductor so I am walking around literally butt-hurt. Feels like intense muscle soreness rather than an injury and its in places I’ve been avoiding using since I hurt my back - so it may be a good sign, actually.
Don’t think I can do any squatting or quick lifts today but I might be able to do some slow pulls and presses out of the rack.
Thanks, tyrfryer. I would be interested in knowing the origin of your handle there…
I ended up doing exactly nothing last night. My mid-back spinal erectors decided to spasm and I was experiencing “the burn” of it for most of the evening. Never had that happen before. I laid myself down and watched zombie-killer films.

I use that everywhere. I’m a big car guy, so I made that up because I love doing burnouts - frying the tires, as it were. Just me trying to be creative, ya know? Damn man, hope your back gets to feeling better quick. Good luck.

Thanks for our concern TF. Back was fine after that night (and a long cuddle with a heating pad). I simply haven’t felt like training the last few days. As expected, squatting every day put me in the dumps, though, physically at least, I believe it works. I went into it too fast, I think.
Think I’ll go back to every other day training and slowly work into everyday.

called it a day. Good one, too. Wasn’t going for it on CJs today. Last max on FS was 280 - that 275 was slow, but I took it deeper than usual and it wasn’t as hard as it might have been. Going to keep working on that til I can bounce out of the hole.
Wow, nice OHP man. That standard looks like a good goal for me, as soon as I lose some weight. 300 BW, for a very long time, will be too much for those kinds of standards. Curiosity wnats to know if/what the standard is for pull-ups? That’s some definite discipline to maintain that, extra good on you, man.

I used to shoot for 1 pullup @ 1.5 times bodyweight, but while ego-satifying it didn’t improve any of my other lifts and actually hurt some of them. Now I think that 10@BW is good enough.
Overhead squats
95x3
115x3
135x3
155x2,1 (totally went to crap there)
Low clean pulls
235 3x3
Couldn’t hold my balance on the OHPs. Low clean pulls felt good, but I’m pulling with my back too horizontal. tried harder to keep position on the last set and it went a little better. I think I could clean this weight, though standing up with it after the clean might be “interesting.”
