I’m tellin ya. I had a hard leg workout earlier and I don’t think my heart was beating any harder then.

AHHHH!!! Maltby breakaway!! I’ve got the oxygen mask on. Dammit!!!

OMG, I cannot take it.

Woo Hoo!! Bring on the Ducks!!

Oh well, the better team won. The shutout was a fitting end to pissing away a series from game 4 on…

I can stop hyperventilating now. Wings advance in a 2-0 shutout!!! Here come the Ducks.

I said at the beginning of the series that it would come down to which team wanted it more and I believe that’s what we saw. I think the Sharks relative youth allowed us to get in their heads. I really think the series ended for San Jose with the Nabokov blunder. Not rubbing salt in the wound, but they weren’t the same after that.

Yeah Baby!!! Not only Babcock’s old team, but he was behind the bench when they swept us a few years back. How gnarly is that gonna be?

I’LL HAVE THE ROAST DUCK WITH THE MANGO SALSA!!!

Was anyone else flipping between the Wings and the Pistons? Great wins for both teams.

I agree. Not to take anything away from a well played series by the Wings, but the Sharks really lost this series more than the Wings won it. They were seconds away from putting a stranglehold on the series and they Munsoned it. You can’t give good teams room to breathe.

Now I’m pulling for Ottawa I think, not just because I want to see a chronic underachiever make good. That series is going to be a classic.

At least the Ducks are in. The nice thing about living in California is we have plenty of hockey (3 teams if you count the Kings). We’ll see if Giguere can hold onto his stick. Until tonight, I have never seen a goalie lose one.

I was watching the score on NBA.com. Yeah, that was clinic there. 2 in a row.

I noticed a conspicuous lack of a doomsday prediction before this one like we were treated to before the last one huh =] I have a feeling the winged wheel surprised you a bit. Battered blue line and all. For the record I believe San Jose could have and maybe should have won this series. They had every tool except perhaps the most important one. Mental fortitude.

This was a bad matchup for us on paper and most of the talking puck heads had us down in 5 or 6 for what I grudgingly thought were good reasons. We won the psychological war and that translated into 3 come from behind wins and a humiliating shutout for the enemy in their building.

Another thing. While I do think Wilson was out coached, I find it sophomoric how so many “fans” are calling for his head. He knows what he’s doing. It could be argued that his public criticism of his players backfired, but tough competitors will respond with tough play, not moping “Daddy doesn’t love me” despair.

Anaheim will be formidable. I’ll stay with what I said about this series. Whoever wins the mental game will win the series.

Damn I couldn’t get myself to watch much of it after the 1st period, another freaking goal with less than a minute left… Sharks just looked like they didn’t want it…

Good job Detriot and good luck

I will NOT be rooting for the Ducks, I see that the same as rooting for the Giants or 49ers, not happening.

Should be good one. I called Ottawa in 7 over NJ but boy was I ever wrong.

Hopefully, Ottawa can do this in 6 against Buffalo.

Im pissed San Jose is out. They were fun to watch, being the most physical team.

I say Buffalo over Ottawa and Ducks over Detroit with Ducks taking it all.

They (Ducks) have impressive goaltending and overall talent throughout their lines.

Detroit is fun to watch because of their speed also. Bertuzzi is a fucking beast on the ice.

Buffalo has insane scoring power and a goaltender to go with it. Ottawa is a good team but lacks depth throughout all of its lines. Lets see if Emery stays hot.

Eastern Conference Finals game one in a little while. I’m interested to see how this develops.

I’m glued to the tube. I see Don Cherry is decked out in one of his subtle suits for the evening…

Shorthanded baby… yessss!
