Glad you managed it without a dislocation ![]()
I was wondering that, too. But I didn’t judge for it. Looks like a good sub to me!
I think I did this with one DB and an elliptical. Not the same.
We made it fam.
It crushed me but we did it
Part 1: every 3 minutes X5 (15 min total)
20 Cal row (sprinted my ass off
20 push jerk 60kg (4x5 each time, mini sets)
Part 2: 8 min amrap
High pulls, slightly sumo
Did ten reps, rest for 15 seconds the whole time pretty much
Part 3: 3 rounds
Front raise to failure
Lateral raise to failure
Rear delt raise to failure
Rest 1 minute
I had to bust ass to get the row done as quick as possible to buy more time for the push jerk. Brutal.
Pretty well only had 15 seconds rest between rounds most times
But.
I did it.
Now there’s no excuse not to do it better next time. It holds no more power over me
Tomorrow is a motherfucker, 10x10 deadlifts in 10 minutes
Last time I went RX 100kg (225lb)
But I’m thinking of going 110kg this time
Doesn’t seem much but it’s a lot of additional tonnage
Hey little puppy, been absent in here for a quite a while, last time was about 6 month ago when you hit that 230 kg/506 lb squat.
That’s some serious shit you’re doing these days.
Absolutely beast mode every time, how can you manage that, without burning out?
Kangaroo meat
Haha nah I dunno man, I just seem to be a volume guy? At least mentally, I need to feel that ‘shit I might not make it’ when I workout
Sometimes I do ‘easy’ workouts and then I feel really unacomolished haha
Too stringy man.
I stayed in Oz for a year back in 2003.
Ended up picking fruit in Mildura for a long part of it🤦♂️
Nice when it’s minced and made into burgers though.
Mildura is fkn hot and dry and miles from everywhere. Nice little country town though.
Just about three weeks into the carb cycling challenge, consistently hitting my macros and haven’t once felt starved or anything…I think it’s simply because even on ‘low’ days I get 100g carbs, which I just eat around my workout.
Anyway I feel like I look as good as I did at end of Tnation challenge with waaaaaay less suffering
Shred Dead Shredemption my man ![]()
Today’s effort
Part 1: EMOM for 10 min
10 deadlifts with 110kg (PR…disgusting)
Rest 5 min
Part 2: 100 reps for time
20 inch step ups W 40kg barbell
8:15 (PR, so much harder than I anticipated due to dead’s)
Rest 5 min
Part 3: was supposed to be EMOM for 12 mins
Alternate 20 wall balls and 20 double unders
I didn’t have access to wall balls and I can’t do double unders. Normally I’d sub doubles for heavy KB swings however
I did 10 second prowler sprints EMOM for 12 and that was fucking heinous lol. HR was topping out threshold the entire time lol
Good shit. I feel deadly
New idea for a challenge.
Deadlift beep test
100kg/225lb
10 reps, every minute, on the minute for as long as possible.
@Frank_C I feel like you’d be down for this at some point
Replace with 32 kg kb swings IMO. Possibly add a band to make sure it’s as explosive as possible. Deadlift has too much risk when fatigued even with two plates.
Not that I’m ever going to be likely to do it, just looking after your spines
That’s pretty similar to the lower body pull days in HIIB 100, isn’t it? I like it. One would have to be smart enough to know when to pause or rest longer to make sure bracing was adequate as fatigue takes over.
I like it @kleinhound. I’d do it. I wouldnt have a chance against you guys but it would be fun. I think if it was a bit heavier it might be sketchier like @MarkKO said but with 225 I think its doable.
Today was probably my favourite workout ever, in terms of all around
Entire thing for time AND quality
1 mile run (6:43 close to PR I think)
5 rds of 10 bench/chins (70kg bench)
2K row
5 rds of 10 bench/chins (70kg bench)
Rx is 60kg so PRd on the weight used which was awesome. Almost every set was a straight set of 10
And the run went really fucking well considering my legs are fucked from yesterday lol
I struggled to run a mile in 1/4 mile intervals today. I ran 8:00 pace and kept checking the timer after 30 seconds. And now I’m sitting here with legs that are shot from the combo of yesterday’s training and today’s running. I’m grouchy and just want to go to bed.
So what was the time then?
Looks like a killer workout, When I’m done with my stupid strength chase, this might be what I’m looking for.
Really awesome sessions you’re running
