That is very true mate, not just skinny legs but low mass overall. The easiest way for us to get faster at running is to simply lose weight.

So they can run far at a good pace. That won’t do them any good if I get ahold of them. Also, most of them don’t have short distance speed so they’ll have to figure out a way to survive the first couple hundred meters . I’ll take strong and powerful any day. I’ll just ruck if I need to go far.
I’m not sure this would be true. I think Mo Farah world record for 5000m has him doing every hundred meters in 16 secs. I am certain if he was running only 100 he could shave a few seconds off that. Heck I would struggle to run 1 x 100 in 16 secs!! Maybe our explosive power would have us quicker over a very short distance like 20m ??
Yea in high school I was a “sprinter” and ran 100m in 12.2 and thought I was fast later I found that a lot of the guys that run 16:00 in a 5k can do the same and that even Hailie Gebralassie ran 25 seconds in the last 200 of a 10,000 m so after that I realized that all runners are fast it’s like saying a bodybuilder is weak he may be weak compared to some extreme power lifter but he’s still way above what an average guy can do
