UnKillable Kleinhound 2: This time he's more unkillable-er

What happened to gamma @kleinhound mate?

Hahaha I just can’t commit to it yet

Not enough snatches and power cleans :v:

Night shift fatigue was in full effect today, first shift is always the worst because you’re coming off normal sleep pattern

Perfect way to own it, dude. No harm in doing what you like. Imagine if we forced ourselves to listen to genres of music we’re not perceiving as being our particular jam at the time “just because” it’d be the right thing to do at the time.

Finally a sign that you’re human!

Probably the best hang cleans have felt for a while, didn’t try to rush them and just reset between each rep which obviously helped

I spontaneous bought Tactical Barbell 2 and read a chunk of it last night. I think seeing as it coincides with the Transformation challenge that it must be destiny. @ChongLordUno I’ve seen you rave about it so it must be good, and to be honest it is exactly in line with what I want my career progression to be so I’d be a dickhead to ignore that

@kleinhound mate it’s a bible. Packed full of amazing conditioning sessions.

I would argue that you don’t even need TB1 as you can implement TB2 with any solid strength training program.

Some of the drills in there will give you nightmares

600m resets are gruesome

Meat eater 2(i think?) is great for in the house

However the shining light is Base Building. Everyone needs to get a Base Building block down their neck at some point

Yeah my plan is to just run the 17 week LEO program in the back with 2x PW fighter template

Can’t go wrong with that matey

I’m curious about this. I wonder how it compares to my current training.

I just finished up rifle training and there was some positional shooting yesterday - high squat, low squat, high kneeling, low kneeling, double knee, seated, and prone. We ran through it like four times and there were quite a few people moaning and groaning afterwards. I was fatigued by the end of the day, but I felt good and enjoyed it. It let me know I’m holding myself together pretty well.

There’s no direct ‘combat’ training but one of the conditioning drills is like a range run, 100m run then burpees repeat as nauseum

Mate I think I’m gonna roll with TB for the next foreseeable. Let’s do this shit

There’s a monster hill near my place where I’d like to try the praetorian hills challenge…and likely die

Basebuilding block starts Monday
But today to get into the swing of things will be a fun-run

I’ll aim for 45 min to 1hr

Running between 50-75% HR (or just comfortable)

Every six minutes stop and do 20 KB swings and 30 pushups

Interesting, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable workout. The challenge was keeping my HR in the right zone. I have no problem running in the lactic zone, but my HR doesn’t stay in the aerobic zone for long. Probably from all of my high intensity work I’m quite lactic adapted but undertrained in the ‘aerobic’ zone.

It will be interesting to track how this goes over base building period

I just looked at my heart rate zones during training and I barely get into the aerobic zone. I suck. My resting HR is around 50 bpm. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it, but my runs barely get me into the aerobic zone. It seems that hitting that zone means I need to feel like I’m hyperventilating.

Were you getting your HR too high or letting it drop too?

Getting it too high

Basically if I run at any sort of speed my heart kicks straight into zone 4/5

This is to be expected if you haven’t done any 120-150 work in a while

Over time you’ll have to work harder to even get it there
