UnKillable Kleinhound 2: This time he's more unkillable-er

Base building. W1D1

Strength-endurance circuit
3rds 20 reps each
Push press
Pushups
Goblet squats
Kipping chins
kB swings
Sit ups
3-5 min rest

All reps unbroken, which was a chin up PR
No rest in between first 2 rds exercise. 30-45 sec rest between on the third round.
First round 3 min rest, second round 5 minutes rest.

Pretty toast, snuck up on me after the second round

By the time I hit 3x50 I should be a machine or I’ll be dead. Or both.

Do I want to know what this is?

Basically find a monster hill

Do 10-20 kB swings at the bottom
Run up the hill
Do 10-20 goblet squats
Walk down
Repeat 5 to 10 times without rest

Oh and also DON’T LET THE KB TOUCH THE GROUND AT ANY TIME

That sucker is your new best friend

Think I’ll reward myself on a Saturday after about twelve weeks of training when my engine is real primed

The author mentions some SF beast who did something similar with a 48kg monster KB

Make sure you time your 3x50 week

Which by the way, is fucking brutality

Oh for sure. I feel like it’s going to drag out a bit

Nah man I think a maniac like yourself will own it

At least by the time I get there I’ll have three solid weeks under my belt

3x20 is a warm up

3x30 is ‘oh I never expected that’

3x40 is ‘fuck I’m dreading next week’

3x50 is pull the big boy pants up and get the head down

I will be supremely happy if I can get one round of 50 unbroken

That sounds awful, I like it.

I’m really looking forward to my LSS work tonight and tomorrow

30 odd minutes of LSS jogging

Kept hr in zone, averaged 140bpm

A nice cruise and good recovery after the circuit

Stayed in HR zone but about .5 km/hr quicker

SE circuit

Only 2 rounds of 20 today, so I made sure to go unbroken without rest between exercises and limited the rest between rounds to 2 min

  1. Push press
  2. Pushups
  3. Goblet squats
  4. Kipping chins
  5. kB swings
  6. Crunches

I think my sleeping resting HR is trending downwards. It’s been consistently between 37 and 41 bpm this week which is cool. I’d love it to be low 30s

This is the the first thing i noticed during my first ever BB block

My resting HR decreased by quite a significant amount due to the LSS work.

Engine size mate. Turning that 1 litre engine into a 2.2 Diesel engine

It’s funny right because my HR only got to 140 on the SE circuit and I finished the whole thing in 8 mins ish including rest.
