UnKillable Kleinhound 2: This time he's more unkillable-er

But basically alternating week a and b
Where week A is a heavy bench day, a heavy squat day, a high rep press and a high rep pull day, and then alternate week B, high rep bench, heavy press etc.

It will be a slow murph tonight
We had beep test and obstacle course today
I went 12/4 on beep
And got 1:54 on obstacle which is third or fourth fastest academy record

Great job mate. You really are showing us all what hard work looks like. Love it.

Thanks boss! The mind is a pretty amazing tool!

I actually cruised through murph #18

Didn’t push the runs at all but still pulled in at 31:19
No weight vest though. I’ve scrapper that for the time being as I’d rather get through all 30 unscathed. The final murph will be Rx though no matter what. Go out with a bang

Gross. If it’s the same test we started doing, I bailed at like 6 or 7. I didn’t have to do it to pass so I just did it for the heck of it.

Murph #19
Another slower one. Fatigue is getting real
Definitely the best engine I’ve ever had. Legs and ass are thicker.
Not bodybuilding lean, but athlete lean. I’m down with that

What’s your weight right now. Looking freaky mate

Athlete lean is good enough! Bodybuilding lean requires too much hunger.

Murph 20
The end is near

Good stuff.

Can’t believe you’ve been doing it for 20 days.
You’re going to crush it.

Thanks brother!

Murph #21.
Definitely ambitious to think I was going to do 20 total murphs in a weight vest
Fatigue is real now
Also, passed my final written exam at the academy today. A week and a half of practical lessons and I graduate. I’m so pumped

Congratulations. You’ve earned all this.
The accumulated fatigue is something I’m genuinely curious about, if the body can adapt faster than the fatigue accumulates at the rate you are going. Even if it can’t adapt, your mind will overcome.

It can’t catch up because he hasn’t been drinking any beer!

Nice! I wish we were closer so you, @mortdk, and I could get together and talk about the job. I have so much unsolicited advice to give.

Actually, there’s a lot of wisdom to be found by learning from other people’s victories and defeats.

Last week, an officer in the northeast part of my state was killed in a shooting. He was in uniform, in his personal vehicle and on his way to work. He witnessed a hit and run crash and followed the fleeing vehicle. The suspect stopped and came out of the car shooting. They killed each other.

I’ve done something even more stupid than that and never thought it’d turn into a shooting. I followed a hit and run driver with my family in the car. I just wanted to get the tag. Who would expect someone to come out shooting for such a minor crime?

This job has a harsh way of teaching or reminding us of things.

Damn mate, that’s tough. One gave all, Thin Blue Line.
I’ve none of those stories to tell, here in DK we have very few officers shot.
One day my friends, one day, I’ll take a flight your way, I’d love to catch up, have a beer and a real god damn big steak.

Great job on the courses and the tests - seriously good work!

Smart move to drop the kit on the runs too; way to be mature instead of stubborn - that’s crazy hard to do when you’re also pushing it like you are.

You’re looking super lean! What poor soul has to take the underpants pictures of you? Are your Academy friends that tight with you??

Lol at the underpants pic comment. Good point! I’m embarrassed taking pictures in the mirror at home, let alone in the gym. Then again if I were a walking anatomy lesson like him I wouldn’t be embarrassed.

Haha self timer my friend :joy:

That’s so awful, I’m sorry to hear that man. The same instinct that puts us in danger is why we’re in the job in the first place I guess. We’re very lucky in Australia to have the gun laws we do, sure the guns are still out there but it’s so rare thankfully
