So it has become more and more apparent to me over the past couple of months that my mid-back and the muscle that runs along the spine is uneven when comparing my right and left sides. My right side is more developed/thicker than my left, its especially notable along the middle back muscle that runs along the spinal erector. When standing sideways in the mirror I can see my right side popping out where my left side is well…not. Also flexing you can see the difference.
It’s possible you have an imbalance. It’s also possible that you just aren’t able to flex your back properly.
So if it is truly uneven, left side only isolation work is what I would do. After going through your current back routine, I would do db rows, db cleans, and anything else you can think of to bring that side up. Are you just as strong on both sides? - can you use the same amount in isolation work?
I seem to tire out quicker on my left side than right. It’s not just the look where I notice it, but I can feel it as well. My g/f also noticed this a while ago.
I’ll try the isolation work. Hopefully I can bring it up in the next 5 months as I bulk.
