I’ve done some research on this subject recently and it appears that full-body compression worn during the 24-hours after an intense workout has been shown to improve recovery a bit. Subject have reported less DOMS and have been able to perform more reps of an exercise something like 2 days after the first workout.
I don’t think it has to be as extravagant as this underarmour suit in order to see the effects.
Its all the same. The “recovery” compression typically will have different seams designed for long term wear/sitting. The actual material is the same as competition compression wear just more expensive. They are marketing stuff like this for flying/long term travel situations now as well. I’m of the mind that even with the slight aide in circulation (the only clinically proven thing they do) the effects one feels is largely a placebo, but that can be a powerful thing, so if you think it’ll work give it a try.
FYI Under Armour is the shittiest comp. wear you can get. 2xu, skins and bsc are all better manufacturers. Alot more expensive, especially for the recovery, but will probably lastv twice as long and not lose their compression feel right offf the bat.
This thread makes me wonder what happened to Stuntman Mike!!! I just saw his post on page one and made me think I haven’t seen him around in a while…wait, I’m going to check his hub.
