Unable to Get Good Sleep, Noisy Roommates

Go out and get a job in one of the MEP trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) they are all looking for help right now. The upside is huge, pay is rising fast and will only rise faster as more and more journeymen retire. Plus the construction atmosphere will clear up that case of being a whiny bitch.

Where were you walking to?

If you were practicing being homeless you didn’t have to go anywhere to be home. You just be there. Where ever that may be, right?

Hahahaha

How has nobody asked about this yet? How do you lock your car if you left the keys in?

I like where your heads at, but as a trade worker I can tell you, this kid ain’t just walking in somewhere and getting a trade job. There are plenty of people with actual skills looking for jobs. Plus, they don’t just hire whiny, weak kids whose moms are way cooler than they are. My trade is more specialized now, but I’ve worked in general construction before (framing/roofing) and can guarantee this kid wouldn’t last halfway to lunch before somebody threw a hammer at him.

Guy: ā€œHere’s $20: get suckingā€

OP: ā€œIm just so tired, though.ā€

Guy: ā€œBut you said you’d suck it for moneyā€¦ā€

OP: ā€œLook, I got 6 hours sleep last night. I’ve lost muscle and I can’t remember the last three dicks I’ve sucked. Can I just give you a handjob?ā€

Guy: ā€œFuck no, my woman never gives me this much grief, I’m going home.ā€

OP: ā€œMister, wait!ā€

Guy: ā€œI told you, I’m your stepdad, you don’t have to call me mister.ā€

Kids these days…

In the olden days, you would need to actually put your key in the lock to unlock your car but you could lock it by flicking the internal button/switch (ie. From within the car and without a key). This was the preferred way to lock your car as using the key was a pain in the ass.

So if you did this and had left the key in the car, you were locked out and would need to break into your own car. Cars like this are actually still around.

My latest car makes it physically impossible to do this though, in the past it was just really hard to do this.

Actually where I live it’s fucking hard to get into mcdonalds if you’re older then 17… it sucks… If I want work it has to be in like a bottle store, a bar etc… I’m not exactly a fan of alcohol

Mcdonalds only has to pay 15 y/olds 10$/hr, they have to pay me like 22$/hr

Quite lucrative, I don’t know how much it costs for a man. But as a chick here (prostitution is legal) you can easily make 100$ within 10 minutes for sucking dick if you look god enough.

Same, it’d be physically impossible for me to get locked out of my car given I’d have to walk away from the car before it automatically locks. If someone else was INSIDE my car, pressed the lock button etc I’d be in trouble

Damn Australians are spoiled as hell. 22/hr for what’s 10/hr in the US

Well the minimum wage is high, but everything is extremely expensive. To fill up my car with one tank of gas (lasts about 175 miles) it costs 110$

A meal at KFC costs about 20$

A house in Melbourne (on average) is 970,000$… our economy (esp regarding property) is in the shitter… one of the main reasons I want out of Aus

DAng thats crazy.

It is…

  • Do you smoke? A pack of 20 now sets you back 40-50$
  • Do you drink soft drinks? A can of Diet Coke will set you back like 6$

This article is from 2015… things have gotten worse (the cigarette excise has made a packs price increase by 13% or so each year since). I’m not a smoker, but it’s a prime argument given when talking about how expensive everything is here.

They keep raising the minimum wage failing to account inflation/generalised pricing proportionately increases with everything else… it’s retarded

That price for pop isn’t too much more than here but the cigarettes are wayyy more expensive.

I went to London for a work trip and paid (or my company paid) almost $100 for a pizza because I could almost see the river.

London is also prohibitively expensive… not as bad as where I live though. Imagine paying 15-20$ for a watered down beer at a festival

Yeah but whats the average wage?

I know a few people who have emigrated to Australia and they love it and visit here (UK) loaded with tales of how great it is over there. One young lad (28 & a carpenter) I know emigrated in October just when the fires kicked off and he loves it in Sydney.

I’ve flagged a handful of these posts. Honestly think the thread is done, mods should close it.

In all seriousness, I’m just going to take a temp job through an agency. I’m not materialistic, so it’d be good enough. As long as I get a 1 bedroom appartment I’m doing just fine.
