You could always do one of those forearm pics. ![]()
(That was only a partial joke. Your arms are insane)
In retrospect… thats cheating on my partner. Lol
Blahahahaha!!! I was gonna make a snarky comment about it basically being like sending nudes. ![]()

Well… like ive mentioned she’s into the forearms.
Maybe I should get my oldest on board. Since I think hes getting ready to do a cut.
That would be very cool. Want me to get him a T-shirt too? ![]()
The pics in your log are from 2014?
I can tell you that letting the cat out of the bag can be a relief. Here is me, trying to decide what to do about the 2024 Challenge. Pics were a BIG part of my anxiety.
My body has always been a profound point of pride for me, and let’s face it, there’s a lot of judgment of women on these boards (in Off Topic, but I’ve been reading there for 20 years). It was daunting to be both old and out of shape for the first time in my adult life! But I sucked it up and am very glad I did. Because behind me follow all of the younger women struggling with shame and fear and (mostly) perfectionism over their own bodies. If I’m brave enough to post a pic, so may @ChickenLittle be while she’s struggling to get herself back on track, and @BethB, etc. @unicornsandrainbows incredible transformation stands as a beacon to the others out there lurking and doubting they can succeed. And my this year’s before pics show so much happy-making progress.
Getting older and falling off are part of the iron game, too. Injuries and life events. These T-ransformation Challenges are where we all come together, young and old and newbie and seasoned, and cheer each other on. So you’re an example whether you’re at the top of your game or in the process of recovering your game. As Tim McGraw said, “don’t forget turn back 'round, and help the next one in line.”
He has no qualms about being shirtless…
He seems to be doing fine on his own. YOU are the member of this community trying to make changes.
Not gonna lie. This made it much easier for me to post.
No… I change them up and update them. . Ever once in awhile.
This probably was the last physique related pic I took for shits and giggles before I said fuck it all…
Oh I could be sliced and diced … but I still wouldn’t post shirtless. Im content with just improving performance wise.
I’m just glad you agreed to participate. I like to think of you as my training support bulldog. ![]()
I know. And I know it’s not my job to be invested in your wellbeing, but that’s how I’m wired.
Which brings me to one last thing, @bulldog9899. You’re wired the same way. You’re a helper-type. I know you spend a lot of time reading around in the weightlifting “influencer” world, frustrated by poor advice and performance, but this is a place where you’re known. We all know that losing your wife and moving forward emotionally took your attention away from the iron game. Of course! There’s no shame in not looking like your pup, and there’s tremendous inspiration for others in your efforts to recover this part of your life, now that you’ve got your feet back on the ground in terms of life things.
I say all of this not because I’m particularly invested in you posting pics or participating, but because I think you’re feeling shame unfairly. You don’t deserve that from yourself. And if anyone’s judging you here, where you are known, it’s a them-thing, not a you-thing. It’s just noise.
The before pics are the hardest, yet critical, piece of this. It’s an opportunity to buy in.
I didn’t know this. I’m truly sorry.
Settle down, ladies…
Ha! You caught me out - I’m hoping bulldog will skim right over that “not!”
I’m in this year. Will get a photo on Monday before work (nothing to do with the gym lighting being flattering).
Goals are to lean out, get bigger arms (work in progress) and continue to improve my squat pain free.
I’ve started my cut today but i’ve also got my 40th in February so will have some massive cheat days there.

FYI, all the best people are born in February.
I’ll join in spirit ig.
No phsique goals, but getting as close as possible to a 350 deadlift would be nice.
I can comfortably do 305 for a double now and will test in February
