(Un)official 2026 T-ransformation Challenge

Something must be going right this week because the wife is asking me how much longer I have to go and I’m looking too lean!

After several weeks of stalling scale numbers they finally moved and I’m officially 2 pounds shy of being 20 pounds down from my highest weight in December before the official weigh in (but “only” 15 down totally from Jan 1)

I might see what fat loss I can lock in by May 1 and see where I’m at then, I think I should be able to seal the deal on 20 pounds and maybe ease off the hard mode dieting

April is always a tough month for me to lose weight. Birthdays, anniversary, Easter, all stacked back to back weekends.

I did have a victory today though. I completed Dan John’s 30 rounds of ABCs with the 24KG Bells. Last two rounds here.

Much more challenging than I realized when I first started looking at this program.

A rough week and horrible Sunday may have revealed an intolerance to eggs. But it helped me break through my plateau. I was 227 or 228 for a couple weeks and hit 221.6 this morning (started this as a bloated 246). My new diet for the week has been plain hamburger patties (added cheese today) and bananas. Cheese in small quantities has been okay. Cottage cheese was okay. Haven’t tried anything else since my flare-up on Sunday. I could see my abs in the mirror today which is motivating. I’ll probably try to take pics and measurements this weekend unless I treat myself and end up with a salt bloat.

That first time you get the glimpse of new abs is always so validating, like “yes! It’s working!”

Well the numbers gods have been generous this week… another 2 down on the scale, so unofficial total of 20lbs down and 3.25" off the waist which is down to 35.75

I’ll have to see if I have logs of previous diets to how that correlates to previous waist measurements in the past because 35 used to be my “getting fat” circumference and now I don’t feel like I could get much under that without severe measures

This cutting experience has been significantly different than my last one (2018-2019). I had that stubborn fat tire thing starting to develop - you know fat that decides to settle right above your belt line even though it used to spread out? I still have a little bit, but it’s not drastic anymore.

That sucks man, Unfortunately ive had that since a teenager, so yes Im very familiar with it. I had love handles when I was striated-glutes lean when I did my body building show some years back… I kind of figured then they were here to stay unless I wanted to do some silly medical intervention.

Weighed in at 169.6 lbs today, which is about as light as I get. I went this week eating eggs and fruit for breakfast, fruits/veggies and seeds for lunch, then a regular dinner (meat, rice/potatoes, veggies, fruit). I was kinda inspired by another poster who was eating only fruit all day. For me, though, it was mostly out of laziness because it made packing my lunch so easy.

Hitting a Brazilian Steakhouse (Fogo De Chao) tomorrow night, so any weight reduction I’m seeing today will be erased.

I’ve seen a lot of writing about fruit fasting until the evening. I dig it from a “ancestral living” perspective. You’re simulating waking up and foraging as you are on the hunt for a big prize. You score it at the end of the day, feast/gorge, and then repeat the process.
